"Red Jack. What do you know about him?"
After receiving the answer, Thomas is ready to head out. He knows when the odds are stacked against him and the chips need to be cashed.

Mable, realizing she can't fly with the the eye. Puts it in her pack and slips out the door behind Elettra. However, she waits nearby in case Thomas needs her.
All hands, please roll Initiative. The Eye is a sentient being that knows it is being taken somewhere, and it has three protectors that are not currently allowing human-sized people to run out past them with the Eye. Combat ensues.
As Thomas Boyle has followed the conditions set out by the creature and gotten an agreement, he may at this time declare FAIR ESCAPE and leave Mable Wood to her fate, or try to assist Mable as the creatures swarm her. Should Thomas Boyle engage, the opportunity to fair escape is lost.

Thomas doesn't exactly know what is happening, due to the barrier of doors between him and Mable, but it's fairly obvious the sudden surge of aggresion of the apparitions is somehow related to the Savage. But why? The Eye has seemingly accepted the deal, and they were... moments away from getting rid of the damn thing. That left only one possibility.
Mable's somehow broken the agreement.
Well, fuck that. Thomas is not a warrior, he had no part in this, and besides - it's not like the Valkyrja cannot handle herself or flee as needed. Such was the rationalization as the Ventrue escapes the UC Davis. A fair bit of advice before, though?
"Get out of there!"
Thomas Boyle has declared Fair Escape and leaves the scene.
The Eye of Asmodeus 12 - Minions 12 - Mable Wood 9 (1L1B)
An agreement was on the verge of being made -- but then, the Gangrel did what she did. Tried to run away with the Eye, when it had made it very clear that it did not want to go with her.
The crimson glow burned ever hotter and a wave of bloody crimson washed out from it. While physically she felt nothing on her body, her brain screamed with agony as the sentient object seared her mind. Blood ran out her nose and pain burned behind her eyes as it felt like her brain was being boiled --
Three shadow-like men swarmed her. One dashed in, trying to get a hold of her, but she nimbly got out of the way. However, the second managed to find purchase, grabbing her even as the third came in with a vicious kick that glanced off her arm in the fray.
Mable Wood is UP. She is presently grappled. To escape the grapple or make any Grappling maneuver is Str + Brawl - 3 for the minion's strength.
rolls
Mable gets caught by one of the men. Another kicks her. Her head is ready to explode. Blood is dripping off of her. She hugs the open back pack with the eye to her. Blood is probably seeping into it.
She struggles to break away. "Don't hurt it." She yells.
5 successes
Protection of the eye is on her mind. She obviously didn't understand these things were protectors, instead she thinks they want to hurt the eye.
The Eye of Asmodeus 12 - Minions 12 - Mable Wood 9 (4L3B, -3 wound penalties)
It thundered in Mable's mind, even as the Eye burned and burned, growing hot to the touch. The feeling of intense pressure in her head continued, but there was no further spikes of blood spraying out her nose or anything of that nature. What she did know, however?
The Eye of Asmodeus was trying to kill her.
She escaped the grapple, but it was re-established as the three shadowmen swarmed her. Two vicious kicks to her ribs broke something inside as the other two rapidly began to beat her to death.
Then, they stopped, standing straight up, as though awaiting something...
DROP ME, NOW
The burning red aura of the Eye screamed of anger. The command could not be clearer.
8B, grapple re-established
Pain seared through her inside and out. The words 'drop me now' embedded in her mind. Understanding finally washed over her. She drop the eye. "Forgive me." Was all she said.
She didn't try to fight back, they were only doing their job. She realized she was wrong. So wrong. If this was to be her final death she deserved it. Even a warrior knew when to stop.
Has anyone decided what to do with this scene yet? Will the aliens just leave mable in a heap now that they got what they wanted?
