The Nox Populi Nightclub.

In the heart of downtown Sacramento there is a place of intrigue, excitement and entertainment. The modern flare of this venue is host to exclusive parties. The seduction of this establishment may take you away as you drink, dance and socialize. There are private services available upon request. The best DJ’s in town are in line to play a wide variety of music. Some of you may dine…as long as you have your VIP pass.

It’s springtime in Sacramento. The Nox nightclub's upstairs section fills with students celebrating the end of the semester. Excitement and fear of the future fills their hearts and minds. Most of all is their exuberance and joy that surrounds their young growing minds and bodies. They spread this joy to all, including those who dance the slow Danse of the eternal undead.

The Kindred are discreetly met at the door and led to the back of the club where they may use the stairs or take the elevator to the exclusive meeting rooms. The space downstairs is decorated in dark, rich woods and expensive furniture. There's a coat room that will also hold one's 'unmentionables'; namely, weapons, at the foot of the stairs. There are also private areas, dark, and furnished with soft couches, as well as meeting rooms with conference tables and chairs, and an area with several televisions.

The Court area is decorated with long black and red silken drapes cascading from floor to ceiling. Drapes hang in elegant bunches and gathered into valances across door frames and between supporting pillars; the lighting is intentionally low, and even with the gentle pulse of music from above, the place has the feel of a sepulcher. Vases of fresh tulips are placed on the end tables throughout the court.

The common area circles the Court proper, and it becomes apparent that this is not a place used just for a single evening. Small symbols note areas for Kindred only that branch off of the Commons, which will be necessary once those Kine privileged enough to see behind the Masquerade filter in: ghouls, herd members, or even devotees.

Another evening; another Danse. For some it will their first, for some it shall be their last. After all, this is the Prince's Elysium, and subject to the Laws of the Domain.

Eternal Court is open once more...

[Mable Wood]

Mable stands ready to welcome the kindred. The flowers were all from the Crone farm. Everything else has been left untouched for now.

She is wearing a white suit and a smile.

[Jacque]

Jacque made his way down the stairs early, smiling as he saw the new Master of Elysium. He was wearing a dark grey suit, professional but nothing fancy.

He bowed his head, "Keeper Wood, good evening. I hope you don't mind I took the liberty of reminding everyone of the proper decorum in my notice. Her Majesty has indicated it is something she'd like us to work on together. Perhaps we can get together another night to discuss?"

[Dirt Nap]

Dirt Nap arrives in a clean, gingham collar shirt and denim jeans and jacket. He looks around and greets Mable as he enters. "Eve'ning, Keeper Wood. " he says.

He seems open to being sociable, without any specific agenda or target that he is seeking out tonight. He keeps an eye out for Derek Mitnick.

[Mable Wood]

Mable smiled brightly at Jack, "Good evening, I don't mind at all. I had wanted to make a sign to remind everyone, however, the Prince wanted to wait until we could meet to discuss the rules for behavior before I posted it. The goal tonight is to try and stay on top of the issues before they become issues." Mable could see them developing a really good working relationship.

Dirt Nap walked in, thank goodness someone else she could trust, "Good Evening. How are you tonight?"

To both, "I would really appreciate extra eyes and ears tonight. Just alert me to anyone getting angry or looking like they might be trouble. Dang, I am starting to feel like a bouncer at a bar." Mable gave a little laugh.

[Derek Menzies]

Derek arrives, clad in his casual-wear, a black hoodie and gray jeans with sneakers. He descends the stairs, hands tucked in his hoodie pockets before handing over his knife in at the coat check. It seems routine now, his coming and going from the Nox. The Beasts were more familiar. He knew the names of nearly all the Domain residents and the character of some. He even had a name for himself, though still lacking any real weight behind it.

Yet he remains unaffiliated with a fractured Clan of misfits to represent him. And change wouldn't come on its own.

He approaches the gathered Kindred. He knew Jack and Mable well enough. And had met Dirt Nap at the previous formal.

"Congratulations, Keeper Wood and Herald Jack, on your new appointments. They are well-deserved. Her Grace could not ask for better," he states, expressionless. Though after a pause, a forced smile flickers over his features. It is expected after all.

He nods to Dirt Nap and says, "Good evening, Dirt Nap," before adding to the whole of the group, "Have any others of Clan Mekhet arrived tonight?"

[Ellis Meadows]

Ellis follows a member of the staff down into Elysium, dressed in smart casual blue and beige. The blazer is taken away by the coat room attendant while he grapples with the initial reaction to all of the Beasts within. It is a convenient thing, to be able to busy yourself with minutia while one struggles against a curse.

"Keeper Wood, Herald Jacque." He nods to both, a suitably polite gesture of respect for their positions.

He then nods to Dirt Nap and Derek. "Good evening Dirt Nap." He extends his hand to Derek in greetings, ignoring how his skin crawled at the sheer lack of a reaction to the other man's Blood as he introduces himself. "Ellis Meadows. A pleasure to meet you."

[Alessandra]

She never understood what the big thing with spring was. It was just another time of the year, business still went on as normal.

But maybe she decided to play along tonight. Her dress wasn’t her usual black, but a cream color. Very short, but it showed off her leg art. The lack of sleeves took care of displaying the art that covered her arms.

Would tonight be another drama filled train wreck? Guess they would find out.

She enters into the Court, Cain at her side and dark eyes scan the room. Her Beast strains and pulls at its chains, wanting to take the heads of all the weaker Beasts before it. But she pulls it back, ignoring its snarls and growls. There would be no violence. Cain just stands there, his murderous gaze watching the Kindred present.

A nod was offered to Jacque and Mable, their first Court in their new positions. Would they shine, or fall?

Were those….flowers? Why were there flowers? Seemed like a pointless decoration.

The Prince doesn’t approach the gathering, choosing to observe from her spot for now.
