The Lord came by and found the host, a pretty and professionally dressed young brunette who flashed him a service-industry smile as he entered. "Welcome to Fuego," she said. At his question, the hostess reflexively looked over at the kitchen doors. "I can take a look for you, if you'd like?" A hand came up to call over another to watch the door, and she headed off to look for Gimlin.
Give me a Wits + Investigation roll, Arturo.
Upstairs, the crafty Mekhet had already thought to lock the door, which bought him plenty of time to cover himself with the Cloak of Night. A fellow came in, leaving the door wide open, and he sat down on the computer, booting it up. His cell phone rang and he replied with an affectionate, "Hey, baby, what's up?"

Derek debates on his next course of action. The presence of the fellow, clearly an employee, presented both an opportunity and a hindrance. He could stay and observe the Kine at work, perhaps revealing some useful information about their operation. However, the wiretapping no longer seems an option now. And it isn't clear how long the employee plans to stay. He may well be performing a daily bookkeeping which could go past closing hours. Derek could remain even longer still to complete his surveillance installation, but he would have to escape the then locked building. Easier than breaking in, certainly, unless there were motion capture security systems that might set an alarm off.
Decisions decisions...
Compromising, Derek remains a little while longer, a few minutes, listening to the conversation on the phone to get a better idea of the fellow's intentions and in hopes of gleaming some additional information.
Arturo, for his part, sees the booking schedule sitting on the maitre d' stand - which he would not have been able to look at, except for the fact that the maitre d' was now gone. Most of the days? Normal nights, scribbled notes, Mr. Hanson & Family for 4, Kallie Clark for 2, et cetera, nothing important... but he sees a night next week when there's a 'private meeting - staff off' scheduled.
Derek Menzies, Hacker Extraordinaire, listens in on this gentleman's very personal conversation with his girlfriend. The phone is pressed to his shoulder with his ear in a very non-ergonomic way as the guy begins typing up an invoice for a catering thing Fuego did about a week back. The Mekhet doesn't learn much that is useful to the mission, but this guy is named Todd, and Todd and his gal definitely have some... err... well, you know. Plans.

He could probably get blackmail material on this dude if he got a hold of his phone, but other than tormenting some mortal, what would be the point?
Arturo makes note of the date and pulls out his phone, adding the details to his cloud notes. He didn't text it to Derek in case his phone would react.

Must be nice... He seems happy... considers Derek, silently approaching the unwitting Kine until he stands behind the chair. You think you have it good, don't you, Todd. It'd be a shame, yes, a travesty if you couldn't make it to your little rendezvous...
Derek imagines pulling out the knife and drawing it against Todd's throat, spilling his crimson over the keyboard.
No...no. That wouldn't go well.
Perhaps a bite, he may well swoon into the Kiss, entranced while Derek makes off with the phone to torture him another night. A possible addition to the Herd.
Not an option. It would jeopardize my duty to the Prince... And yet a willing Thrall might... No...no.
Constraining the will of the Beast, Derek exits the room through the open door and heads down the stairs. He looks for an opportunity to leave much the same way he came in. They would return next week for this private party and see just who this Juan is.
