It was always a little risky, opening one's home. But building a pack meant showing a little trust. Emily knew she'd sooner die than let her home be taken by an enemy, but letting pack know where she was... well that was a show of trust.

Texts had been flung to everyone, plus a bird to Hector for good measure, inviting them to her garage for pizza and beers. An opportunity to reforge the pack, following losses and new arrivals.

The fridge was full of cold beers. Now, all she had to do was wait.

This is an open scene for the whole pack! Come! Let's meet for proper together.

[Hector]

Hector is the first to arrive. He turns up, ringing the bell once before proceeding to peer in through any available windows.

If Emily had been herd, she'd have no doubt called for the cops when Hector's face appeared, leering wickedly, at the window.

Once the Ithaeur lets him in, the Alpha tracks down a comfortable spot on the floor and proceeds to spread himself out as much as is inhumanely possible.

Oh! And he'll gratefully accept a beer as well.

"Hey chief!" Emily says brightly, letting the wild man in. Several empty cans already litter the sides - looks like Emily started early. She throws one from the fridge to the Alpha. "How's things going?"

She knocks back what's left of her can and burps loudly, grinning. "Ahhhh.... Oh, I invited everyone. Thought it would be good to try and make sure we all meet each other. Chris, Brigit," the crack of another can breaks the sentence, "Stretch and our little spirit boy, Nate. He's a weird one. Thinks he knows it all about spirits and rituals." She shrugs. "Maybe he does. Just... don't forget about your favourite crescent, right?" Emily winks and takes another swig from the can.

[Brigit]

The smell of oil, grease, and metal.

To many the smell was off putting, but as Brigit had conveyed to Emily and Matt, working on her Defender was often an escape for her. Living out your whole life in a secluded compound up in the mountains meant the nice residential neighborhood she now lived in seem like a whole other world. She disliked it thoroughly. Too many fake smiles and too much fake grass.

The memories of days spent under the sun working on her grandfathers old jeep prompted Brigit to stand in front of the shop and look upon it, lost in thought for a few moments...

Nonetheless, now was not the time to reminisce. Even now her head reminded her that those days in the compound were not simpler times. She was working for the enemy then, even when she was in the Herd. It was, however, a simpler life. That was probably the main appeal.

After taking a bit to compose herself, Brigit rung the doorbell.

Once let in she'd offer Emily a comfortable smile. The Ithaeur had taken time to talk. Like, REALLY talk and hear her out.

The smile lessened a bit when she looked to Hector, but it wasn't out of fear. The once-Pure's uncertainty was clear.

"Hi," she managed to say, unsure of how to greet the Alpha. Thus, she settled with a respectful nod.

Matt shows up, parking his vintage, black Hummer outside, and coming in bearing a stack of five giant, 'meat lovers' pizzas with the name of the restaurant, "Giant Pizza 2625 Broadway Ave" emblazoned boldly on the huge, 28" pizza pie boxes.

In his wake, Nathaniel Dormur comes out of the Hummer with another pizza box, apparently not a 'Meat Lover'.

how did I get drawn into this.

There were clear shadows under the pup's eyes, from a lack of sleep. The destruction he'd seen still haunted him. When he got the call about a pack meeting, he was hesitant to answer- though the man's tone didn't really make it clear he had a choice.

Upon asking if the pizza place had any Greek-style pizzas, Nathaniel could've sworn he saw the big lug's eyebrow twitch. Still, it was allowed. And of course he still wore a cheap suit- along with some clothes he didn't mind dirtying underneath it.
"Er... Hey guys. Long time no ah... See..."

Anyone perceptive enough could see something was eating at him. And the shadows under his eyes were faint but present- even his charming good looks couldn't hide it.

[Hector]

Hector was in the middle of chugging beer as the pack gathers. Matt the giant Rahu gets a salute. Brigid the unknown variable gets... a mysterious smile. Nathaniel receives a sharp look and frown that softens slightly into something else.

Time to start looking after his pack.

"Hey, B!" Emily says brightly, swinging the door wide. "Come on in!"

The door opens as a part of the bigger garage doors, showing the space for 2 cars, plus the blue Mustang at the far side. The chirpy Ithaeur takes a swig from her beer and shows the Talon in. "Aww, don' be shy. Chief's a good one. Brigit and I had a talk. All she wants is to be safe. And keep her, uh, heh, friend safe too. You wanna drink, hun?" she says, flicking between the Alpha and the innocent-looking wolf.

Matt and Nate's arrival has her beaming as she tosses beers out of the fridge. "Aw, Matt... You sure know how to treat a gal," she says, eyeing the pizzas hungrily and licking her lips. "Come on, boys. Hopefully Chris will make it, then we're all here!" She swoops in, tugging a box out of Matt's hands and pulls a slice out, munching it greedily. "What?" She says through a huge bite of pizza. "I get hungry! I got a fast metabolism!" She swallows loudly, still grinning.

She notices Nate, something tearing him up inside. Emily finishes off the slice and pulls out another. "Nate, you look like shit." She passes him a beer with a reassuring smile, to try and nake him relaxed - there's tomato sauce on her cheek. "C'mon. We can help!" The pint-sized punk takes another savage bite out of the second slice.

Matt grins at Emily Makerith. "Eat as much as you want. If we run low, I'll just call and have them deliver more."

He ignores or is just oblivious to the whole 'feeeelings' vibe around Nathaniel that the others are commenting on.

[Brigit]

The mysterious smile of the Alpha is met with a small smile of Brigit's own as she listens to Emily's reassurances.

Drawn to follow the pack member who has shown her the greatest trust and comfort, the once-Pure follows the Ithaeur, remaining near as she greets big Matt and little Nathan. The former gets a nod from Brigit, for the pair had a greater understanding of one another following their meeting. The latter is given a quiet look of concern as the others begin to ask him about his well being. However, Brigit does not know Nathan particularly well. As such, she chooses to say nothing, better sage than sorry.

Turning her attentions back to Emily, Brigit smiles again. "Yes, please," She says to the offer of something go drink, "If it's not to much trouble."
