(1401) Meeting of the Ordo Dracul

This scene takes place on April 2, 2019. I am starting the thread two days early to let people get in.

Standing on the balcony overlooking the pool deck, the Grand Wyrm of the Ordo Dracul took in the night. The Chapterhouse at Florin was set to host a fine gathering this evening; the old and established were to receive the newly arrived and those who sought to pledge themselves to the Ordo Dracul formally.

Tonight was an auspicious night. From the great advancement of Atticus James to the rank of Scribe to Garrett Prosper's acceptance of Elettra Vitale's candidacy, they had much to discuss. Change would be celebrated. The Work's progress would be weighed and noted, and the Covenant's direction going forward would be set out.

Tonight was also a night of consequence. Decisions had been made that had set brother against brother. Worse yet, one of their own had fallen. There were lessons to be learned this evening, and each would learn them in their time.

The Dragons had been provided the address of the Chapterhouse and the Regent's approval to enter the territory. All members of the Order were welcome in Florin, and all had been advised of the fact that the Chapterhouse's location was a covenant secret. They were to mind their paths, and ensure the security and sanctity of the grand house on a hill at which the Ordo Dracul did their work.

Dressed in the simple grey robe of the Unsworn, with a black belt that cinched it at the waist and held her blade, the Grand Wyrm awaited their arrival.

Finally.

The call had come.

Madcap had been waiting for contact since the Grand Wyrm had spoken to him in March.

The Bruja's arrival is likely heard by anyone monitoring the new arrivals before its seen, as Madcap's bike rumbles up the hill. He had taken precautions, of course. He had traversed a longer route than necessary, making ready use of back roads and side streets. He ensured he wasn't followed.

Finally pulling into the mansion's long driveway, Madcap kills the engine and parks. He stands and looks to the splendor of the property with vague interest, its opulence being something with which he was not entirely used to.

However, he had not come to gawk and so, with a stride of purpose, Madcap, dressed in his usual gear, approached the door and knocked.

Dirt Nap is present, dressed in clean work jeans and a gingham workshirt. He opens the door and nods at Madcap. "Evening. Come in," he says gesturing to where the Grand Wyrm, Lina Moretti waits and leading the way.

Elettra is dressed in her black boots, black jeans, but this time opted for a nice maroon sweater. She has been looking forward to this meeting ever since she asked to join.

She pulls up to the magnificent chapter house, or is that considered a mansion? She was never too sure when a house is no longer considered a house. She was very impressed by it.

As she walks up to the steps she could sense the stranger beasts already within. Her own beast was yelling at her to get back in her SUV and run far away. She pushed that down, steadied herself, and knocked on the door.

Atticus had been keeping to himself since he finished his last chrysalis. The chrysalis is a strange experience, it was an all encompassing experince. The uninitiated or the idiots would probably just think I get kewl powerz, but it is so much more then that. It is the deepest meditation, the most painful torture and the most uplifting experience all at the same time. The most interesting part is, that no one can truly replicate it. A kindred could map things out step by step by step and still whoever followed those steps would experience something different.

He wore his normal uniform of a pair of jeans, his work boots and a white tee shirt. Something new, to those who haven't seen him recently, is a scar present under his left eye. He finds himself a seat and flops down in the living space.

Madcap follows Dirt Nap to the seating room, noting the Beasts already present. His own wanted to kill them all, but a tug forced it to submission and silence.

Seeing that Atticus had taken a seat, Madcap took it as a cue, seating himself in the room and waited.

Prosper greets Elettra shaking her hand before leading her to join the rest, "I think it was about time we shook up our ranks a bit," he laughs. The two female Neonates that had not been dead for that long would have at least some connection. He felt a pang thinking about Blackbird again. It would be the first time Elettra Vitale had seen the man in less than business casual, with just a pullover and jogger pants.

"I know three out of the rest of you prefer whiskey," he said, nodding up towards his room where it might as well have been an alchemist's lab.

As the Dragons descended upon the Chapterhouse, the Grand Wyrm allowed herself to go into the side room where she had something stored. A box, six feet long and about a two feet wide and two feet deep, on a little dolly. With a sigh, she ran her hand along the top of the vessel before heading for the sitting space where Dirt Nap was assembling the Dragons. The door was closed behind her as she went.

Time to think of happier things.

Her feet announced her coming as she entered the room.

"Welcome, Supplicant Madcap, Slave Vitale, to the Florin Chapterhouse. This is where we do the Great Work, together."

She smiled broadly at the two, allowing herself to enjoy this moment. Their Covenant was growing, hale and hearty. Others were still to arrive yet.

Madcap looked to Moretti's coming.

"Evening, Grand Wyrm," he offers after she greets them, "Like the digs... ain't what I'm used to, but looks like a lot of space to get the work done."

It was an awkward compliment, but Madcap wasn't sure what else to say. Pale eyes found Elettra Vitale as she was announced to the collective as a Slave. The Bruja's eyebrows peaked with vague interest, but nothing else was offered.

Dirt Nap nods to each of his fellow Dragons in turn, respectfully. He waits for the Grand Wyrm, Lina Moretti to make her wishes known or for her to judge the time right to reveal...whatever she wishes to reveal.
