Cupid's Arrow's 3: Dinner Date

[Phoenyx]

Phoenyx shifted nervously. It was strange, really, being nervous over something so small. But a few weeks of grinding out her sexual frustration on Kaze 's bedsprings had made her realise there were more feelings for him under her neglected labido. He was a goof sometimes, but he was sweet. He really was her friend. And now she wanted to try a little more than sneaking into each other's rooms every couple of nights.

And so she had suggested dinner. It felt so.... mundane. But maybe that was what they needed. Some private time, away from the other Arrows. Phoenyx had gone all out - done her hair, makeup, and was wearing her favourite dress (yes, she did actually wear dresses sometimes) in a deep scarlet.

She squirmed in the seat, waiting.

If he didn't show up she was going to kick his ass.

[Kaze]

Kaze arrives merely on time instead of early as is his usual habit. He is dressed in a light gray suit jacket and solid white shirt underneath, with light blue trousers and black shoes.

"Hi. Sorry. Traffic. Wow, you look incredible!" Kaze says on arrival, obviously impressed at Phoenyx's efforts to do 'real date'!

[Phoenyx]

"I'll forgive you, this time." Phoenyx stands and stretches her arms wide with a flourish, letting Kaze see the whole outfit, smiling smugly. "I thought it would be nice to wear something other than training gear." She walks boldly up to him, heels (yes, heels) clicking on the floor, and she does a slow spin, showing off the dress. "You like it?" Sure, he said she looked amazing, but who didn't like their ego stroked once in a while?

[Kaze]

Kaze grins. "Yeah. Very much. You are really, really hot." he says, still smiling. "It's really great to get out like this with you, thanks for setting it up. How'd you pick this place?" he asks.

[Phoenyx]

Phoenyx gives a smirk and half shrug. It was nice to have someone crazy about you.

"I saw it while running - it seemed nice," she shrugs as she slides back into the seat. There's already an empty cocktail glass on the table. "Do you want a drink? They make really good margaritas."

[Kaze]

Kaze smirks, "I...don't drink. I'd go for some orange juice though. I can get it." he says. "Just be a minute, do you want anything?"

Looking around he says, "It is nice. I like it."

[Phoenyx]

"Oh... uh, okay. Well, I don't... usually. I was just... um. Felt like one," Phoenyx says awkwardly. It had seemed like a good idea to have a drink to steady her nerves. It's what people did, right? But now it was seeming like a not-so-great idea.

"Um... could I get juice too? Thanks," she says, looking back down at the table and the empty glass, and shrugs.

The Arrow begins flicking through a menu, waiting for him, though she does stare a little as he walks up to the bar, allowing herself a look at Kaze's butt as he walks up to the bar.

[Kaze]

Kaze soon returns with two, tall glasses of O.J.

"So," he says, conversationally, when he's seated again. "Anything look good on the menu? I always like to try whatever they say is their specialty, if they have one." Kaze says with a smile.

After they order, Kaze looks at Phoenyx and says, "So. How are you feeling...about us?" he asks. "I'm not pushing, or rushing." he adds, "Just...asking." he says, "Cause, I am really liking, 'us'." he says. "I'm hoping you are too."

[Phoenyx]

Phoenyx is resting her elbow on the table, and her chin on the hand, smiling as she watches him return. "Specials? They have a lamb shank in a red wine sauce."

She looks at him, and blushes slightly. "Well, I can't fault your stamina," she teases shyly, running a finger around the rim of the glass. The younger Arrow looks down and the blush deepens slightly. "I am too," Phoenys say quietly. "I.... know I'm not the easiest person to talk to, sometimes. But. You help. I mean. Talking to you. It's easier. Since we arrived together. And it helps me. Talk to others. And I realised I've never actually thanked you for that." Her words a stilted, like she's admitting something difficult. But although the Obrimos is clearly a little embarrassed, she smiles at Kaze.

[Kaze]

"Really? That sounds great. I think I'll try it." Kaze says. "How about you, see anything you like?" he asks innocently.

When Phoenyx shares her feelings, working up to saying she should thank him, Kaze smiles back. "You are welcome." he says.

"I'm really glad. You help me too. Your focus. You don't let yourself get distracted. And you just go for your goals. You don't beat around the bush. You just come right out and say what you mean. I love that about you." Kaze says.

He smiles. "I am working on the stamina, too, though. Building it up." he chuckles. "You are helping me there, too."
