And so for two days - two long days - Alastor the Warlock studies the Mystery Woman who had fled from the parking lot as a large house cat.

It is... Dull viewing. But not without its rewards. Naturally more questions are raised than answers.

She lives quietly on a rather dilapidated looking rural property that is deep in some woods. The entire place has a spooky kind of mystique given the apparent neglect, not only of the comparatively small house but of the grounds itself. She spends a good deal of time prowling the area in her other forms and generally keeps to herself. Occasionally, a very large shadow falls across her path from overhead (or lurks in the trees).

She is not alone on this seemingly isolated property. She shares the place with an ugly, squat, woman who spends most of her time down by a large pond. This woman also cultivates illicit plants that are hidden away in a large shed near the pond (which must be at the heart of the property). There is also a lean man with a beak-like nose who hides away in another part of the property; he resides in an old caravan (the interior is full of cheap bling, highly polished silver- and brass-ware, and other reflective oddments.

They only gather together for the main meal of the day and to do some basic domestic chores. The main topics of conversation were planning a deal for the squat woman's drug contacts; and worried rumination at the time the 'wizards' were taking - had they not fulfilled all that had been required of them?

The spell will push Alastor to his limits. Mechanically he will avoid deprivation kicking in by about 1 day. It is still two days without food or water as he carries out his observation. So he will be drained and exhausted by the end of this marathon run.
