Alfonso has had a day. He had a feeling this day would come, but always figured it would be when he was burnt out. Instead it was a simple matter of choice, family or career. He would miss it. Even his perpetually uncouth, annoying partner.

The bags were packed, and all the arrangements made. His wife had already flown out the day before. Her mother might not last. Her father needed her now. Her aged parents, who had adopted her as a street urchin in Brasilia when they had been unable to have children of their own, had no one else. He had told her to go, that he would see to the girls, see to everything. All those years, when he was too busy for family, too poor for her to see her parents, show them their grandchildren, even for a visit. That wasn't how this was going to end.

It had taken his abduction, and change and years of subjective experience as a beast, hunting his captor's prey, but he had Changed. It took him murdering, no destroying the thing that had taken his place. His choice. He would be there for his family from now on, no matter the cost.

So they sold the house. It was a quick sale. And the money, more than enough to get established in Brazil, and care for Isabella's parents for as long as it took.

Alfonso, the Crow herded the girls out and took a hired car, an Uber to the airport. He'd managed to sell everything here. He would take care of...his other responsibilities, with some calls from the airport, and dump the phone. He couldn't take any chances with the girls with him. He'd call right before the plane boarded.

I am retiring the character, hopefully to return someday to the venue someday! Thanks so much for all who generously shared their IC scenes and interactions with me in the venue!
