Time passed, and Cosmo was left straining against the object before him. The embarrassment of performing so poorly was however dispelled by the revelation that he was in fact correct.
"The statue is in fact a tool to help us." Cosmo said to the Guardian. "The Crimson glyph is also a spell to control animals and the Matter glyph is to control some form of automaton. There are more, but I can't figure them out. I just know that holding the statue is enough to activate it."
He shrugs and looks to the Phoenyx and Winter. Then a buzzing sounds slowly rumbles from his pocket and an iPhone is procured. It's a number, no name, but the look on Cosmo's face says it's important to him.
"Sorry, gotta take this." He takes the call, exiting the Circle as he does so.
Cosmo exits the scene.
Phoenyx looks after Cosmo, puzzled.
"Well. I suppose I can try and unwork the Life Glyph. This will take some time."
She quickly works a glyph around herself, preparing to the long process of the ritual casting.

The Guardian nods, even though he didn't yet whether to be annoyed or elated at the younger Magus leaving. "See you"
He turns his attention to the Arrow, "It's good, but without somebody to tamper with that space pattern, I'm afraid we're back to square one. I can still try to scry the object's past though"

Phoenyx composes herself and spends several hours in ritual casting. She is unable to locate the Life glyph, let alone unravel it.
By the time the Arrow is done, she doubts it was even there. The brown Matter Glyph mimicked the shape and form of a Life Glyph for Control Median Life. Evidently the original caster used the Life Spell as a model or template for their own creation - a spell to control Automata.
They've been here for hours, most of their spells have long expired. But the Guardian is willing to try one last thing. "Maybe we should approach the problem from another angle", he says brushing his thumb against the statue's third eye.
A flare of high Speech, a fully formed glyph appears mid air and then... it shatters, strained asunder under the weight of the Lie.

Phoenyx sighed, frustrated, as the Life proved false. "We're not making any progress, and have been at this for hours. We should break. Throw our for help to unlock all the glyphs."
The Guardian nods. "It's a wrap then. Go on, they are probably waiting for you", a pause and a lie, "I'll stay a little longer... to clean things up before I go".
