The Pavo Camino Bar is a roadhouse of stereotypical proportions. Low riders and motorcycles surround the building and front patio is filled with people flying various gang colors. Gang colors that people wouldn't often see blended together in such a place. The place is filled with both genders. Some men looking like they walked off the set of the Wire or Sons of Anarchy, and some women looking like they stepped out of Lowrider or Easy-rider.
A wretched hive of scum and villainy? Maybe.
But it was also a pretty decent opportunity for Lina Moretti and her team to gather intelligence and get a sense of what was going on with this buy. The Sheriff did herself up, make-up and hair dye that threw off her natural appearance and helped her blend in as the kind of chick who would come to a place like this. Shitkicker boots and a low-cut tank top. Jeans, and a couple of knives concealed beneath the back of her leather jacket and inside her right boot.
This wasn't weird for her. She'd been in plenty of places like this on the job. A social chameleon, the Dragon knew how to be part of all manner of crowds, and the gangster set was one of them.
She'd let the team know in advance to spread out, be low key, get in positions to hear things and plant their equipment as appropriate. They weren't going in as one; rather, they could come in separately. Seth Kind had to prove himself and his subtlety. Menzies had the Cloak. He'd figure it out.
But Moretti would go in first. Establish herself. Be cool. Get to know the players. Streetwise as ever, the private investigator clocked the place, acting appropriately to fit in, getting herself situated and getting to speak to the right people...

Unfortunately, Derek is the type who wouldn't be caught dead in a place like this. Or clinically dead either if it weren't for appeasing the higher powers. Fortunately he had met up with a naive bookworm he'd been chatting up before arriving, giving him just the sort of confidence he'd need in a place like this.
He considers his approach under the guise of the Cloak. Dressed in a black hoodie and dark blue jeans and sneakers, he looks relatively unremarkable. Yet he knows he'll still stand out like a sore thumb in a place like this. But the Cloak has its drawbacks. He can't even do so much as open the door without dropping it. And doors don't open themselves. If he sees a chance to follow Seth or Lina in, he'd try to slip in behind them. Or if not them then someone coming or going from the bar entrance.
His laptop bag is sans laptop tonight and instead packs his equipment. Though the knife is stashed in the pocket of his hoodie for easy access in case the worst should happen. His skin is blushed with life in case he has to drop the Cloak for some reason.

ContactsSeth didn't have the funds for high-tech equipment; though, that's what the higher-ups were for. Normally he'd spend days scoping out a potential mark, but apparently that wasn't an option. No matter- one seedy bar couldn't be that difficult.
Attire wasn't really the issue here- they would stick out a bit no matter what for obvious reasons. The black hoodie, black jeans, those would work just fine. No, the main issue here was going to be an opportunity to bug the place. Any suspicious behavior in a place like this? A powder keg waiting to happen... Hm. Seth briefly wondered if he might be able to lean on his criminal status here- though pondered whether this would be an appropriate place for his talents.
But... A place like this? How easy would it be to start a fight? His crew looked entirely out of place as well. How in the world would this play out?
Equipment: Throwing knives, running shoes, lockpicks
"Hey hon, what can I get you?!" A voice carries over the chaos of the surroundings. As Lina looks a beautiful woman stands behind the bar, she has well tanned skin, dark hair with colored tips and a intrepid eyes. She wears a cut off Metalica shirt and a jean vest. The woman is stacked, to say the least.
The nice part for Derek is that he doesn't need to worry about the door, the door is open, so no one needs to hold it open. The power of cloak has people subconsciously moving out of his way, which is also reasonably nice. He does get bumped into, just because of how full the bar is, but his cloak maintains.
As Seth looks around he realizes its not the opportunity that will be the issue, it will be the noise and the fact that the place is rowdy. Any bug could easily be dislodged or broken, it is also a loud place, so picking up things of note will also be challenging.
Lina knew her business. This was the kind of rough place where cheap tequila, beer and whiskey ruled the day. "Tequila, please. One for yourself, too." Also, not the kind of place where bartenders had bosses who would be pissed if they had a drink. Considering the company, the Sheriff leaned in, using her talents and her street smarts to put together a key question. Bills hit the bar, and her tip was an extra twenty on what you'd usually see. "Anybody I ought to buy a drink for, to pay my respects?"
Surely, Pavo Loco was around. If not him... then someone else who was in their crew would do.
Lina Moretti - For the streetwise roll
Lina is able to pick out a few people she recognizes and she recognizes some gang colors. The one thing that really stands out is a table of 3 people. Two men and one woman. A Hells Angel, a member of the Crips and a Asian woman in a dark suit. These are three gang leaders, who are at war with each other, sitting around a table drinking together. If Lina didn't know better, she'd think she was standing in a Kindred Elysium.
For the socialize role, there is no better person to talk to then a bartender
The Bartender looks around a bit, "Boss isn't here right now. When he gets here, you'll know." The bartender pours two tequilas and gives Lina a Cheers, taps the shot glass on the bartop and downs it in one go. "Thanks for the shot."

ContactsSeth surveyed the area- quick glances, never more than half a second if he could help it. Too noisy, too much motion. But places like this had to have a back room for games, or a private office- a place to conduct business. Maybe Seth could get in- they could use a thief. And if he got in... A private office was a great place to put a bug.
Seth took a seat by Lina, and ordered a shot as well. He needed a way to blend in- so, turning to the Sheriff in a genuine tone:
"What's a lady like you doing in a place like this? If ya don't mind me asking, that is."
Was this a joke? A way to draw attention? Maybe just a pale imitation of a normal life? in all honesty, a mix of all three was about right. It seemed like the sheriff had it covered. Two people asking for one person was too coincidental, and without a momentary distraction or a good spot placing a bug wasn't much good. Still... Another look around wouldn't hurt.

While Derek is momentarily relieved to find his way into the bar, he's made immediately uncomfortable by the press of warm living bodies. He ping pongs through any avenue that opens to him, dodging elbows, drink trays, and drunks as he tries to get a vantage on his Kindred allies in the room. The swell of noise, however, makes listening in on any conversations difficult even with his heightened senses. More to the point, Derek doesn't know who exactly he should be listening to.
If he can make her out, Derek makes his way closer to Lina to hear what sort of conversation she might be having at the bar to get a clue on where he should be looking. All the while, he listens to the bits of chatter between patrons, listening for key words or phrases relating to weapons, gang activities, de Antonia or Pavo Loco.
Moretti downed her shot with the bartender, letting stolen vitality fuel her own as she forced Blood to her stomach to allow her to drink, to blend in. Seth found his way next to her, and she smirked at him, glancing down at her outfit before returning her eyes to the crowd. It would be hard to hear the trio talking from here with heightened senses, but her eyes lingered on them.
"A lady like me? What kind of lady is that?"
She gave a low chuckle, like she was just fucking with him.
"Looking for work. And at a bar where all manner of folks can come together in peace," she said, giving the far table where the people sitting together were obvious enemies outside of here, "That seems like a good enough place to do it."
She offered the Mekhet a shake.
"Name's Jo. You?"
