The chase continues, the SUV firmly in the lead and earning even more ground. The sedan trails short behind. The GPS is updated again with a beep and a blink of the display.
Both cars rush past the toll-booth and take the I-80, luckily there are few cars and the visibility is getting better.
[Kaze: No more weather penalty]
Shodan: Through his force sight he can see the immense kinetic energy propelling both cars. He can sense the gaping maws of gravity beneath them, the lights coming from the few and far between vehicles. And stranger of all, the highway security cameras being deactivated and reactivated just in time for the two cars to pass by.
The Sysadmin is good, he's just not as good as Shodan or the Mysterious hacker. The Libertine manages to cover his tracks, and just as predicted, both himself and the hacker manage to sniff his credentials.
With their privileges escalated, they can dig deeper. The libertine could sniff into the accounts, try to copy the records or even reconstruct a graph of the money trails. However, the hacker is in a better position than himself and the admin could detect them at anytime, so he'd better try to fortify his position.
Somehow he knows that there's a lot of detective work ahead, the rabbit hole goes far deeper than Argon, and this bank is a centerpiece.

Head to head, both cars continue their race, from time to time they spot the lone flash of a car before that too disappears in the night.
As the SUV steers to the left, Kaze gains ground. Even the Davis exit is far behind their backs.
Shodan hasn't managed to secure his position, neither his backdoor is ready. The sysadmin however is still a few steps behind the curve, which affords him some leeway to spy on the hacker's traces. From what the libertine can see, the Mysterious hacker has been sniffing around certain records. Money trails, mostly from the shipment of goods. Large sums.

Kaze focuses on the drive, tuning out the extraneous sensory static, Shodan's actions and through them, any indications of the other hacker's activities and taunts. His magically acquired skills finally begin to mesh more naturally with his innate alertness and reflexes, and Kaze begins to function as an exceptional driver!
The engine of the sedan roars like a lion, the dam has burst open and for the first time Kaze has the anonymous racer eat dirt. Both cars continue to their unknown destination, the SUV throttling side by side.
Shodan too has scored a big win. As the Sysadmin tries to make sense of what's going on, both hackers sift through the vast data troves.
But it's not time to rest on the laurels, the Libertine must search for the same intelligence the hacker is going after, and right now he's at a considerable disadvantage. He can see however that the hacker is pulling GIS metdata from the shipping records he was previously examining.
Shodan needs to make a choice. Either he rolls his hacking pool against the sysadmin, at a +4 bonus, 3 successes will be enough to put the sysadmin on the trail of the other hacker; or he rolls his hacking pool (no modifiers) against the hacker in order to copy that particular string of data before it's definitively erased (in that case you'll have to perform some forensic and detective work to recover the coordinates of the lost location).
Keep in mind that if he goes for the latter, his successes won't be added to the current total. If by the next roll the Sysadmin's total is 1 more than Shodan's. The Libertine will be booted by the system.
You have two free turns before the roll, enough for two instant action (be it spellcasting or calling the Hierarch or whatever).

"Hey, nice driving!" Shodan says as they pass by the SUV. Truth be told, he figured they lost on that front, but the development fills the Libertine with a much-needed surge of optimism.
As for what's happening on the screen... well, he can either go slowly but securely (as securely as you can expect, hacking into the institution that houses the offshore accounts of half the world's supervillains) or stretch dangerously for a juicy piece of data that'll be unrecoverable later. A true Sophie's choice.
"Ah, fuck it" Shodan mutters to himself as he pulls back, leaving some digital breadcrumbs for the sysadmin to track down this... whoever this is. With any luck, they'll be too busy with each other to notice Shodan getting away with the good stuff. After all, while two dogs are fighting for a bone...
In the meantime, the Obrimos tries to steal a glimpse on their opponent's car license plate. At first it looks like a fool's errand - it is too dark and too fast to make out anything useful. But after a few seconds... some shapes start looking like numbers and letters.
