Therefore, there is no reason to treat death as wrong or unnatural - the bodies of the fallen will feed the earth, their souls will live on as lessons to be meditated on. The cycle of creation and destruction will continue, like it has continued to spin since the beginning of time. And only when time itself ceases, will the cycle end.
Which is why Thomas is very calm about the whole affair. The Beast wants to howl in victory, reveling in all the blood and guts around, but it is... no, not denied. It's accepted as part of who Thomas is. But it mustn't be given anything more than its due. To do otherwise would be turning one's back on balance.
The Ventrue assists in covering up the carnage, content in the job well done. The cancer is cut out. The peace is preserved. With their actions, they have created a more peaceful environment for the Kindred and kine of Sacramento to thrive in.
