MantleFinding nothing of interest outside the cafe, Sonnie leaned on her staff a moment and rubbed the back of her neck. Once Maxwell had the door open, though, she naturally went to look. Curious monkey be curious.
She poked her head inside and peered around, touching nothing for the moment. "Anybody home?"

Distinctive VoiceShe stares wide eyed, somewhat suspended between stupor, horror and disbelief as Sir Pierce draws a piece of artillery from his pocket and Sonia echoes him with her staff. Did a bit of noise really warrant this much firepower? She didn't think so, but again she didn't dare to openly question the American way.
She quietly enters the cafe right after the policeman, skulking around for clues, but she's not that trained in the ways of the world.

Only a faint and hollow echo could be heard from those who spoke. Aside from the whir of the typical mechanical things in the cafe, no one replied back.
But Alfonso heard something very faint, a thumping coming from inside a small walk-in style cooler. The door handle also had a padlock on it, which was closed.
Maxwell J. Pierce didn't hear shit.
But he'd already gone to the cooler door and tried to open it, because it had drawn his attention even from outside**. Setting to, he went to work on the padlock, deft hands taking apart the mundane and uninspired security.

Sonnie's expression was curious and confused as to why he was trying to break into the fridge. "Like, seriously? Are you guys that hungry?"

Status"Look closely. There are tiny tremors. Something is...thumping...inside that walk in." Alfonso observes. "It's not a rhythmic motion, not the machinery." he says.
He moves to back up Maxwell J. Pierce, but stays out of his way as he works on the lock. Alfonso inspects the power coupling, wondering if it is plugged in and powered by purely mundane sources.
As soon as Maxwell opened the lock and opened the door, a young guy was crouched by the door and nearly spilled out when the door came open.
"Oh god, thank god!" He said, his teeth chattering while he shivered. It may not have been a freezer, but it was pretty chilly to be in there with nothing but jeans, a flannel shirt and sneakers.
"Uh, how did you find me?" Slowly scooting to the outside of the door and leaning his back against the outside of the fridge. Still curled into a ball, he looked up to see who was all there. No indication that he had anything supernatural about him.

Mantle"Dude! How long have you been in there? What's your name? What happened here?" Sonnie offered no answers to the stranger, just questions. She did, however, look about for a blanket or a spare jacket. Something the chilly man could don to warm up. Slim chances in a cafe kitchen, of course, but you never know, so she did a thorough search.
