StatusI messed up on the roll. With the Eidetic Memory, a roll might not be required, but if it was, I forgot to turn off "10 again" for the Beast penalty, and forgot to add +2 for the Eidetic Memory for remembering things under stress. Also, the roll itself didn't show for some reason. :(
Here's the original roll, even without rerolling the 10's (and the +2 for Eidetic Memory), he would have made it. Do you want me to re-roll?
There are three possible places that will have a door 2, 8, and 22. The noise of the door came from one of those places.

"Let's check them out", the Crow says, drawing his pistol and heading for the nearest of the three locations with a door at a wary, cautious pace.

One of Maxwell's eyebrows popped. His typical approach would be to simply leave, but the fact was, a Legitimate Cop from his own Court had drawn. He wondered for a moment if there was a real problem here, but decided to move with him for the moment.
No weapons were drawn, yet. He'd be playing nice until there was a reason not to.
"By all means, Detective."
The Chatelaine's Wizened appearance suddenly faded into the handsome, dapper Mask that he wore as he Hardened it. Were there some supernatural threat, it did not need to have the benefit of knowing his Mien. Taking a position behind the group, he kept a weather eye on things, making sure their rear was covered.

From what Maxwell could determine, the sound of the door probably came from the proximity of the cafe or the castle. However, it was the type of sound that would conclude which it was. There were no further noises for the moment.
