(Memory Lane) Gathering Intel

[Circe]

Circe expected there would be a delay in replies. No good to interrupt a meeting to take a call, just bad etiquette. Since her computer was still on, Circe looked up some cat videos to laugh at. If it took too long she might access the back door and see if any of these people are looking for guns to shoot monsters. Not for canon fodder but simple profit and promotion of Summer's ideals.

Null sheen chummer. This was fully expected for Circe to be sitting on her hands watching cat videos.

[Titania]

Something something, the Autumn King kept her company when it came to incautious planning. The Fairest bites her lip. For extreme diseases, extreme methods of cure, as to restriction, are most suitable. That's what the ancient Greek physician Hippocrates would teach his disciples.
She put on her most heart melting angelic look. "I apologize. Before we take off, may I use the loo?", she asks with an adorable bat of her eyelashes.

Rhodes looks from one man to the other. "I'm not putting that thing on, or you could take us anywhere. I know we need to trust you, but shouldn't that work both ways? And if we get into trouble, what happens then? I'd much rather keep my phone, so we can contact you if we need to."

Ronnie G sighs.

Cornell grimaces and directs Tatiana to the toilet. In that moment the spell is broken and the urgency fades. Barkeep shrugs and goes back to his counter-top.

"Fine. We work on trust then. Take 'em to the other place. Its not as nice but it will serve just as well. Less DVD choices. So while we wait for the little lady. Tell us about you."

Cornell grunted.

The benefit of having a friend as high powered as Circe cannot be overstated. As soon as the door shut behind her back, the Fairest went scrambling for her phone.

Circe looked at the text message from Titania. It was informative. Circe was dressed and moving even as she texted a response.

"U want BG broke, beaten, bled out? Me cat to mouse BG? No Tom and Jer, chase. Or romantic rescue?"

Circe could try following. Or she could certainly swing a romantic rescue. Just waltz in, shove her tongue down Titania's throat, make some romantic spiel, and drag her out with the loud declaration to rut her brains out.

[Titania]

She read the reply, not once, but twice. And although the notion of a romantic rescue had her cheeks burning, she didn't think it would be safe to attack so many ruffians at once.
The mention of blood and beatings had her wince, yeah, she'll go with cats and mice, whatever that meant. Cats were cute.
She hit the send button.

Rhodes suppresses a smirk. "Not much to say, really. Grew up in California. After I left school I spent several years away in the old countires. Work, you know. Services Formal work. Eventually I returned to California, found my way here. Dear Eleanor and I were something of kindred spirits, y'know, met by chance... and then all this started happening."

His eyes glance between the men. Ride the wave. Get to the house, make our next move. Live in the moment. Feel the Fear.

[Circe]

Circe replied with "U d mouse," and her own cat image. Finally she added "No turn off u phone GPS."

More importantly she was in her car and could track Titania's phone. A little stalkerish and time consuming, she'd need to do some quick hacking, but if she lost the tail then Circe could try doing that to find them.

[Yumyumcrow]

Cornell and Ronnie G watch impassively.

Cornell finally nods, sucking through his teeth as he does.

"Yeah. It can be scary when the real world don't add up anymore. When you start to see weird shit that don't fit."

A look passed between the two 'Hunters'.

"OK. I will go and check on Miss Eleanor." Ronnie G finished the last dregs of his drink and went to check on Titania. Should she be amenable, the group will head out through the back door to a waiting car. And thence to a designated safe place...

Circe is too far away to actually catch up to the car but she would be able to track Titania so long as the phone was left on.

Over time and I don't think we can get much more mileage from the scene.

If you want to continue with this plot let me know. Otherwise Rhodes and Titania will have ample time and opportunity to stage an 'escape' through the Hedge.
