(Sanctum Strike) Forced Entry

Alastor studies the pyramidal sculpture. Physically, the object is a chunky pyramid of a bronze coloured metal. The Arrow reckons he will be able to carry it fairly easily, though it is bulky enough to demand both his hands to carry.

That is... physically.

When he scrutinises the object, it could be described as studying the golden capstone of an obelisk some two storeys in height that has been compressed in both time and space.

The object is mystically potent with a powerful astral signature of its own that definitely reacts to his probing. Studying the object is hard but he is certain that it is an Artefact: an astral beacon of some kind. The object has a resonance associated with Time and Pathways or Gates.

Alastor has seen something like this before. Under the Circle.

Phoenyx gives a single curt nod to the First Talon. "Watch the far door. when we breach, follow us in," she says softly to Aurora.

She takes up her position on the opposite side of the door to Alastor, pistol ready.

3....2....1..............

[Aurora]

Saw under the Circle?! What did he see in the thing? Whatever it was, she was now curious.

But first things first, she nods to Phoenyx, she understood. Blue eyes move to the other door, watching it. Waiting for the fight to continue.

The kitchen is big, well appointed, and very expensive.

It is thoroughly clean. And empty.

A door leads deeper into the house.

[Phoenyx]

Phoenyx nods, moving forward into the kitchen, taking up a position on the next door.

She waits for Alastor to breach.

[Aurora]

Well, guess someone needed to carry the thing. So she'll nod and move to pick up the pyramid thing. If she is able to, she'll follow behind the others, staying at a safe distance, but close enough to know what's going on.

Alastor and Phoenyx move quietly into the kitchen. Weapons drawn they edge toward the solitary door leading to the dining area and deeper into the house.

Aurora goes to collect the pyramid. The object is heavy but not outside of her carrying capacity, though it does require both her hands to lift. Initially, the object is cold to her touch; it soon warms with a liquid warms oozing up from within its mass.

Of course, the moment the Master hefts the object, a clarion siren screams out...

But it matters not for at that same moment the ground shifts beneath their feet. Space yawns out before them, stretched and warped like a wave function on water. The pyramid is burning, radiating with arcane power and chiming a different note to the Clock as it appears before them.

Aurora will take 1L from the burns to her arms and hands. Armor and Defence will not mitigate it but it will heal naturally or through healing spells.

The group are hurled back into the nave of the Circle of Creation. It is moving. It is alive! The floor is shifting: flagstones turning, shifting, sinking into the ground to be replaced by new ones that form a different pattern of tessellation. The clock rises from the floor and hovers high in the air, apparently independent of the building itself. Gears whirr. Hands move. Bells ring.

The heart appears within the clockwork movement, beating loudly. Hands click into place. And with one final chime Supernal energies flare and dissipate. The clock can barely be seen under the phantasm display of Prime. Instead, there is only an ouroboros: the serpent eating itself; time streams flowing together in an endless loop; time lines closing... closing... closed and Sealed away.

With another flash of radiance, it ends. And there is only a clock-like tessellation on the ground once more, dust and mana steaming from it like effervescent breath.
