(Sanctum Strike) Forced Entry

Another bell. Another summoning.

But this one is different. This time, the Consilium prepares to go on the offensive!

The Apostate Acanthus Kasterborous divined the source of a temporal attack. Armed with that knowledge the Pentacle could strike back directly against their oppressors.

It was a wild shot. A desperate gamble.

And a chance to bloody the nose of the Seers of the Throne, who have for so long been a bane to the Consilium's existence.

This is a TIME WAR scenario.

Post below with your character's entrance to the Circle and I'll take it from there.

Given the peculiarities of this scene, a character with Space ●● can cast Follow Through to force open a Portal to the Seer Sanctum in the present moment. Or a character with Time ●● can cast a similar spell that forces open a Portal to the Seer Sanctum at the time of the attack itself! If there are no characters present with sufficient Space or Time, then the Clock will do Something.

Given the situation, a character may join in the Time Travel or in the Present Day Sanctum Assault - but not both!

Remember, include any equipment that your character's will be taking and the spells they have put in place in your first post.

As in previous Time War plots, character death is a possibility. In this conflict there are no prisoners.

Quick note - I had originally Stickied the previous Clock scene. That meant it hits Continuity before the December Consilium thread. Characters have a month, almost, to prepare for this

Alastor arrived, a look of sharp concentration on his face. The First Talon was kitted out for war. Dressed in black fatigues with his body armor on beneath a mundane black t-shirt, the soldier had his shotgun slung on his shoulder, the brutal knife-chain coiled on his hip, a combat knife on his boot. His signature aviators completed the look. Calm. Cool. Collected. At least, on the outside.

Inside? Terrified. Anxious. The normal things someone about to assault a Sanctum of enemy Magi ought to feel.

He had called on Aurora . This was a situation that would need her particular skill set. The Master would likely be all that stayed between good Mages and death.

Rituals had been cast. Cloaked, of course, too; it wouldn't do to give the enemy something easy to dispel. Waiting at the Circle of Creation, the Mastigos breathed. Just breathed. Let the others arrive. Then, with a cool head, they'd figure out the plan.

Rituals for this Assault:

All spells are Spell Cloaked using Prime 2.

Combined Untouchable/Spatial Awareness: 4 Potency / 4 Potency / Two Days (2 sux for each spell, advanced prolongation)
Combined Spatial Map (prolonged, cast as Space 2)/Omnivision: 4 Potency / 4 Potency / Two Days (2 sux for each spell, advanced prolongation)
Magic Shield (4 rolls, 8 per roll = 32 x 3 = 10 sux average): 6 Potency, Two Days (4 successes for regular prolongation)

She hadn’t been called on in a while. But when an Arrow calls, you show up.

So Aurora arrived dressed for whatever was going to happen. Black jeans, combat boots and a black tank top. She had her leather jacket on and her hair up in a ponytail.

This would be her first go as a Master of Life, and she was a little excited. But also a little scared. Not knowing what to expect, and not wanting to let anyone down.

Blue eyes find the Arrow and she waves as she approaches.

"Hey, who else is coming?"

Aurora has monthly spells in place, Pulse of the Living World and Organic Resilience

The sound of a roaring engine and screeching tyres comes from outside. Moments later, Phoenyx marches into the Circle, her leather trenchcoat billowing behind her. She looks loaded for bear, her gun, knives and pistols all in easy reach, her face set. She nods to Aurora, and heads over to Alastor.

"Alastor. You said we found the Seers. What's our play?" The Obrimos is clearly all business - her face is set and has it's typical lack of emotion.

Active spells: in sig and minisheet (Life Shield, Supernal Vision)

Gear: Smartphone, Pistol (Beretta M92, +2 lethal), pair of daggers, tonfa, Reinforced Leather trenchcoat (1/0), motorcycle (street bike)

Alastor nodded to Aurora as she arrived, letting out a sigh of relief that she was there. "I'm very glad you came, Master. Thanks. We'll see who shows for the call."

Well. There was one of the people who he figured would show. He turned to face Phoenyx. "Gear up, briefing with the Magi that show, and assuming we have the crew to get this job done, I'm going to rip open a way into their house here and now. We will clear the enemy Sanctum, and take 'em down, hard. Ideally, Aurora can keep some stable enough for us to hand to Winter for interrogation so we can get ahead of this thing. Pretty straightforward stuff. No holds barred, save for what needs to get barred to maintain the Veil. Questions so far?"

Seeing another Arrow enter, she smiles and nods.

Looks like they weren’t fucking around with this.

Glancing back to Alastor, “Well, can’t let you guys have all the fun.” That was her way of handling nerves, crack a joke.

So they are striking them in their Sanctum? Damn, that was cold. But was necessary. Cause fuck the Seer’s.

“I’ll do my best. I also want to drop some Life Shields on you guys before going in if you want.” Not that she expected anyone to refuse a Master Life Shield, but, you never know.

“Anyone else expected to come? Do we have a number in the Sanctum?”

Phoenyx frowns thoughtfully."So, we're just clearing house. Makes it easier in some ways." She draws her pistol, checks the safety and her spare clip, and aims towards the alter before holstering the gun. "Do we know the layout?"

She looks at Aurora as the Thyrsus cracks her joke. "You're nervous," Phoenyx says bluntly. "Good. You should be." It's not said with malice, just... tactlessly. She walks over to Aurora, and watches her. "Just remember what we said about awareness, and defence. Stay close, and you will be okay." There's a small, reassuring smile. "I would take the shield, if you are offering. Your Arcana will be better than mine."

She turns and looks back down the corridor. "Kaze...said something about helping the group with the time divergence. He'd better not do something stupid..." There's actually something sounding like concern in her voice.
