The sound of a germanic accent in the room made Connor grin. Those who said the snarling language was unpleasant had such mundane, unimaginative tastes. He rather liked it. It had... cadence. It was like listening to a landslide, growing more impressive the longer the phrase continued. German-flavored English was close enough. Why did I never bother learning that tongue?

He continued to watch, to listen, eyes merry. His nails rasped softly on his jaw as he scratched absently. Here he was, watching and memorizing and learning, names and natures.

Overloaded from the consistent socializing and the presence of so many unfamiliar faces and Beasts, Derek recedes into a corner to calm his nerves. The announcement by the Prince does not go over his head. Though the idea that he should have any sort of chance as the position and its benefits as a newcomer dashes any hopes at that. Having learned that the Domain's power structure is still so young, however...

Seeing that some Kindred were filtering out, Derek decides to make his escape as well. The event had been interesting, and had its moments of excitement and colorful aesthetics. Maybe he could better prepare mentally for the next one.

With no one reaching out to her at the moment and everyone seeming busy Elettra decides to call it a night. It was quite the eventful night. There's a lot for her to think about. So she heads out of court and along the way says her respectful goodbyes and gives the appropriate bows.

Dirt Nap watches as the numbers start to go down. He watches, in no hurry to leave, curious. He keeps an eye out in particular for Krieg or Mable, not sure if they've already left or are in a side room in conference.

The night was late and she'd need to depart soon, but for the moment, the little bird was content to wait. Others could need her or otherwise desire a brief audience.

Atticus just stands there, leaning against a pillar, listing to the conversation around him as they disperse. Listening to other people chattering away. Logging bits and pieces into his brain.

Graham was distracted from Thomas momentarily, their conversation being overwhelmed by the Prince's challenge.
Interesting way of getting a position filled. Using competition to bring out the best? He understood it in theory, but also surmised that there would be a healthy dose of everyone's worst, when it came down to the proverbial finals. Could be good for him, though. Maybe he'd make the right impression on the right kindred. Hell, even the other way around could be useful in a new domain.
Once the crowd returned to it's usual organic state, he returned his attention to Boyle, who was...unflappable.
He liked that in a Lord.

"Well, looks like we carry the same ol' V-Card then, Thomas. I'd be grateful if you'd introduce me to our Priscus. As it happens, I'm a representative of The Movement. Don't panic, I'm not here to blow shit up or anything. Appreciate you taking the time, man."

He noticed the solitary Atticus as the two of the presumably began to head in whatever direction was appropriate and wondered what his position in Sacramento's court was. On that note, he wondered if and when he'd get a chance to meet the Prince, still pleasantly surprised by who she'd turned out to be. Definitely of a different cloth than the last batch of Invictus leaders he'd met. He hoped that was a good thing.

The sun cometh, dragging Kindred to their Havens and their daysleep. The first night of the second year of Alessandra Antinori's reign had gone off without incident.
