"Come!"
Alastor holds his action.
"Come!"
Alastor holds his action.
Robes swirl about the Moros as he strides purposefully into the mystic circle.
He turns, pivoting smartly on his feet as he reverses his stance and hurls a bolt of pure necrotic energy at the Arrow.
@Cross Alastor I have rolled Campanella raw pool, so take away the dice you need. By my reckoning that should either be 3 dice or 6 (if Alastor opts to sacrifice his attack to buttress his Shield for this turn).
The blurring, twisting figures began to teleport from spot to spot, but Campanella's skilled shooting drained from one of the figures.
All of them closed in, whips crack-crack-crack-crack-cracking as he grit his teeth, pulling from his own reserves to give it his all. The Prime lashes were powerful and broke through the Moros's shield; plainly, the Arrow knew a great deal about raw Magic even if his studies were not as advanced as Campanella's.
"You can do better!"
Not mockery. Encouragement.
Alastor takes 1 Willpower Damage from Campanella's attack, and uses 1 Willpower to attack Campanella. Since Campanella has attacked this round, I have deducted his shield of 5. He is hit for 2 Willpower damage.
4/6 Willpower
8/8 Health
2sux after deductions
Date Action Roll Result 2019-01-12 18:54:15 Alastor rolls 4 to Gnosis 4 + Prime 2 - 5 Matter (10 Again, WillPower) 10, 6, 7, 8, 7 2 successes
Campanella found a grimace contorting his face as raw magic seared into him. He smoked as he rewove his Shield and launched his Sword against the Mastigos once more.
This time his Sword dissolved into inky blackness that exploded into a roiling black cloud that hissed and spat at the very edges of the ritual arena. Corrosive rains smouldered in the threatening vapours and harsh, purple hued lightening, clashed dangerously.
Date Action Roll Result 2019-01-12 21:20:22 Campy to make corrosive clouds! rolls 10 to Gnosis + Death (10 Again, WillPower) 10, 9, 1, 7, 9, 5, 6, 7, 7, 5, 1 3 successes
The clouds burned at Alastor's lungs, causing all of the Alastors to cough and sputter. "That's more like it!" he coughed out as lashes swung ineffectually at the Master's powerful shield.
Alastor suffers 3 Willpower damage. 1/6 remaining. He misses.
Alastor cannot escape the toxic clouds.
They fade, sublimating back into Campanella's short blade as the Arrow swings wildly.
Campanella takes his cue. He steps forward, turning to one side...
Date Action Roll Result 2019-01-12 21:44:42 Campy to make a Cone of Cold! rolls 7 to Gnosis + Death (10 Again) 7, 10, 10, 6, 10, 5, 10, 7, 10, 1, 2, 6 5 successes
His Sword shifts again: a blizzard of ice shards and numbing, frigid, darkness. A cone of cold, enervating, energy that simply drains Will, saps strength, and freezes matter in place!
Cross missed and to ensure transparency I'll post his role here:
Date Action Roll Result 2019-01-12 21:32:41 Alastor rolls 1 to Gnosis + Prime 2 - 5 Matter (10 Again) 3 failure
Once again I have given the raw pool in case Cross want's to double his shield.
Willpower: 4/7
Health: 6/6
Sword: Death 3
Shield: Matter 5
A grin flashed, and all of the Alastors were gone.
Space shifted. Distances were snapping from long to short to non-existent as the Lie was made truth for just long enough for the Arrow to avoid the incredibly potent blast. Was the First Talon above him?
The effect lasted only a moment before the five copies returned.
Alastor Dodges, doubling his shield and negating the attack.
Campanella frowns, obviously taken aback by the display. Rather than make an attack while obviously riled, the Moros opts to duck behind his own Shield and strengthen it.
Air and Earth shimmer as Campanella shield changes into a great metal Hoplite shield of glorious brass.
Campanella doubles his Shield against the next attack (for a total of 10 Armor)
The lashes became a fist, and it knocked thrice on the shield.
"Wars aren't won by letting off pressure, Campanella."
chance fail
Campanella says nothing.
He attempts to take advantage of the Arrow's mistake and lunges with his Sword. This time the blade is almost translucent: a scalpel meant to strip qualities as much as strength.
The blow, while well placed, is deflected by the Arrow's spatial shield. It simply doesn't end up where it was aimed at.
