Kaze gets up early, goes through his normal routine, stretches, meditation, calisthenics, wash up and change to going out clothes. He heads out from The Sanctuary and walks around in the neighborhood.
Two activities are his priority. He practices observing where the cameras are, identifying every external facing surveillance camera in the neighborhood. He also spends time meeting people, not forcing conversation, but casually offering help to anyone who seems to need it, carrying groceries, loading or unloading goods outside businesses and such, making it clear that he's not looking for a hand out or a job, just offering help.
"Hi, do you need help? Here, I'll hold the door." "Thanks!" "Sure. I like to help out. My name is Case, I live around here." "Oh yeah? Where?" "Just a few blocks from here. I got into town a few months ago. How long have you had the store here?"
Kaze does this a few days a week, with no set pattern, never two days in a row. He gets to develop relationships, locals knowing when they see him that he's up for helping with whatever they need. He casually mentions that he has a truck. He helps with some home moves. He takes some groceries to some elderly shut ins. His 'street' contacts are regular people, store owners and employees, and residents.
