Fedora turns and makes his abortive bolt for Coat's car. He is not aware that Alastor spell has taken effect, or that his cell phone spills from his rent pocket as he stops himself from blundering into the suddenly sticky soup that the ground near the getaway vehicle had become.

Kaze simply 'pops' out of existence. Those who were watching with the Sight would have caught the flare of a Glyph before the Obrimoi disappeared.

Fedora's Mage Armor specifically protects his corporeal form so in this instance I'm ruling a specific strike on his clothing will work. Pocket cut open; phone slips out. Fedora is too busy not walking into a zone of Plasticity to notice at this stage.

[Winter]

The phone lands in his hand with little oomph on his part, he slides it in his pocket . "Hmpf", Kaze's vanishing act had painted a target on his and Sand's back. He didn't even understand why he did that. Anyway, shifter woman was getting pissy; thankfully, they seemingly had backup.
The other car though, that was a liability.

That pt had been many many signs back.

However, the something other + bloodshot eyes + knowledge of shifter status + a couple movies = a big enough sign.

Mystery Woman makes another lunge for her car and succeeds in wrenching the door open. The whole vehicle creaks and rocks. She continues to ignore Sand and is breathing hard: ragged, sobbing, breaths. The Obrimos clearly sees the tremor run through her as she prepares to scramble into her car...

Fedora holds his action until Coat moves. Coat struggles from the car as the liquified dirt and gravel sets once again, losing the car in place. Fedora struggles over to assist but is a little less than helpful.

Coat ends up on the ground.

Fedora does not, but in the act of helping he sacrifices any pretence of defence.

ST NOTE: Rather than make some silly rolls I simply had Coat and Fedora act, but both loose their defence as they struggle with the partially sunk car.

Kaze moves invisibly towards where Councillor Sand is, intending to be within hand to hand combat range of anyone who is able to attack her, at the moment being the woman who has already shoved the Councillor a few times.

Waiting is something Langdon thought he was good at. Apparently not when there's a rolling mess in front of him. The knife in Langdon's hand stills as the Mystagogue takes a deep breath and begins to chant in the broken and incomplete language of the founders of the Pentacle. High Speech flows in a soft, almost gregorian pattern, chant. Time to make things happen.
