The Dancer had been spending some time at the Mirror Maze learning a few things, yet not quite succeeding. Alas, she'd started to run through the paperwork and update the bookkeeping from her Maze at Funderland, and check on the orders for the Blue Note.

Her hair was up in a ballet bun from earlier that morning. Sometimes she felt like she didn't sit still long enough to have a moment to herself, yet, that did not bother her. It kept her mind off the ache she had, and longing for the smallest change. A personal change, nothing too large. The Fairest missed so many that had passed through, and with Winter upon them, it seemed to begin taking it's toll.

Wearing jeans with a bulky cream sweater, she sipped her coffee. The sign on the door said Open, and since it was a chilly day for Sacramento, she didn't anticipate any park visitors today. Additionally, all were worried about the fires. She wanted to help, yet, probably should not as it may reveal their world and be broadcast farther than she'd ever anticipate.

Please feel free to join Zeb and Ruach

The Crow arrives, walking in from where he parked his unmarked car. He appears to any but the Lost as a vaguely Hispanic man in his mid thirties in a shirt and tie under a long coat and a fedora, a neat mustache and goatee that somehow do not look hip or academic as much as somehow predatory and sinister.

To the Lost he appears as a black feathered, beaked, harbinger of doom. Not so much threatening except as the appearance of the bearer of bad news, or as a spectator arriving early to witness a tragedy with piercing, jet black eyes.

Interestingly, either Mask or Mein his appearance somehow screams, "Cop"!

He opens the door. "Hello?" he announces himself before entering. Stepping in to close the door behind him, he stays just inside the door, perched on the periphery as if unwilling to intrude until he is sure of being welcomed.

'Thissae is honored to...' Nae, nae. 'O Queen o' Winter, Monarch o' Onyx...' Nae, nae, nae that either. Lydia paced back and forth, tugging at the oversized black turtleneck that she'd dug from Funderland's Lost and Found. In her hair were faded, white plastic flowers, filched from a dumpster bag full of old, broken things. They were bent and a little stained, but it was the nature of Winter to be withered and dying. Hopefully this would be suitable as Court attire, and that the smell wouldn't stand out. She'd done well to clean herself with paper towels and hand soap, though she was lacking a toothbrush for fresh, snowy breath.

Once she'd introduced herself to the Queen of White and Black, maybe past suggestions would come to fruit. The other Lost had said something about a boarding house, a job. Somewhere dependable to get clean, warm, and fed. Lydia couldn't help but smile at the thought, and her pinched shoulders eased down a little. It was too bad she threw away all those quarters as a distraction - she could've bought a gift for the Winter Monarch of this place. It would've done well to smooth things over, should her introduction go poorly.

'Queen o' the Mighty...' Nae, nae...maybe just' 'Wintry Highness'? Ugh.... Easier when 'tis nae thissae's Queen to speak with. She almost ran into the Monarch's door as she thought, stopping short and balking at the looming wood. Her smoky plume drooped until only the end twitched; her Mien's blue-white skin grew whiter, the black veins of her mouth, limbs and ears standing out. The Airtouched reached deep to whatever resolve she had, took a whisper-quiet breath, and went for the door. Her expression shifted to one of reverent stoicism.

Three times she knocked, her knuckles almost brushing against the wood. The sound wasn't unlike a windblown-branch hitting the entrance instead. Squaring her shoulders and standing straight, the Elemental waited and buried her nervousness. It was unbecoming of a Winter woman of crime-ridden alleyways and dark forests full of beasts.

Sasha heard the door and her head rose from the papers at the desk. She quickly stood up hearing the sound of a man's voice. Her Mantle like a whirlwind to some and the air inside the the waiting room of the Mirror Maze was as cold as a walk-in freezer. "Oh, hello." She said with a sweet, yet friendly voice.

Her violet eyes then saw the man who first entered. The Crow-ish appearance was quite unique, and pleasing to her eyes. The man appeared to have a wisp of Latin as well, and a few pieces of songs she'd danced to flowed quickly in and out of her mind. "Please come in."

And then there was a knock not long after the Beast came in. "One moment please, sir. You can have a seat if you'd like. There's a single serve coffee station over there." She pointed to the corner of the room, mugs and a variety of k-cups in a stand were waiting for any guest. "I'm just going to get the door."

She sashayed quickly to the door. Opening it, she smiled as she saw the ragged Elemental on the other side. With the same friendly smile, she greeted the woman. "Please come in." Opening the door, and motioning inside.

The cold wouldn't bother them as she could feel the presence of two new Winters. She didn't know them, yet the Fairest was already excited with the new members of her court. Typically it was small or solitary, so new additions were always welcome.

"Thank you, Madam." the Crow says, taking off his hat indoors. He accepts the gracious offer of coffee making himself a cup of "bulletproof energizer, Distinct notes of cinnamon, plum, and orange with a cocoa hazelnut finish". He has a seat.

When Lydia Gehring enters, he stands and nods to her. "Hello again. Glad to see you looking well." he says in greeting.

Lydia froze. The treelike veins that sprouted from her black-blue lips and eartips grew stark again. Her hair-plume drooped and swayed like a dying wind. A heartbeat passed in frost-creeping slowness, and she exhaled a cold, tense breath. "My Queen," said the Airtouched, her ragged whisper a reverent, slow breath that almost went unheard. Lydia curtsied to the aurora-bright, violet-eyed Fairest, and drifted in with a floaty step.

It seemed far too simple for the throne room of an Onyx Sovereign. This was an office, a mortal place of business conducted. Lydia expected carved-ice columns, black and white tapestries, and a chair of black steel and even blacker, sparkling gems. Still, she would tread and treat this place as the heart of Winter's power, moving slowly and carefully through its space. She wound around the crow-Beast - "Greetings, Crow-Feathered Ae," she responded with a nod - and eyed the coffee machine. She hadn't caught the Queen's offer of coffee, and stood stiffly, respectfully in place to the side. She would wait to be called and directed, rigid in a way unfitting for an Airtouched.

She could feel some of the plastic lilies drooping in her hair. Lydia resisted the urge to hastily rearrange them in her black-and-white, drifting locks. Those ghostly eyes of hers lowered to the floor, the pale silver of the irises punctuated by an orb of glowing, faded yellow. What looked like the sun on a bright snowy day clouded over, Lydia regaining her composure and folding her hands together. The Courtier waited for the Queen of Winter to speak.

Alfonso smiles, "Would you like me to make you a cup? The Lady said it is alright." he says to Lydia Gehring. "And, how would you like to be addressed? I don't recall your name?" he asks.

Stomping his feet to get the dirt and grime off, the Hound gives a quick tug on his jacket lapels and straightens up before rapping his calloused knuckes on the door of the establishment, before opening.
Looking through the open doorway, he surveys the inside corner to corner until he is satisfied with what he sees.. All entry/exits and inhabitants accounted for, he slips in fluidly like smoke drifting off of a fine cigar.
The corners of his mouth upturned, he says "Hi" looking each person in the eye, before moving to the next.

To the lost, he appears as wolf-like, fur from head to toe grey in color with black highlights. His breath is visible like on a cold, wintry day and frost spreads around his feet as he walks. To the onlookers, this is definitely the presence of a predator seeking prey.

The Fairest was about to start conversing with the two that arrived, but right when she opened her mouth, she heard another knock on the door. Her brows knitted in curiosity. She was starting to wonder if some that had left long ago had spread the word that the Freehold was lovely and welcoming, or something.

As she walked to the door, a wolven man peaked his head in. Sasha smiled. "Please come in." Her arm opened in a welcoming and directional move to the small seating area. "I have hot refreshments if you'd like."

After the next Winter entered, she wondered if there would be more. She didn't mind repeating herself, but the thought crossed her mind. "Welcome everyone. I understand a couple of you have met."

The office desk was not far off from the seating area, and the Dancer picked up her cup of coffee and in a swift move, hopped upon the desk and crossed her legs in a graceful fashion. "My name is Sasha Collins, some from the past know me L'aire. I've been in Sacramento for many years. I am also the Winter Sovereign." Her smile was soft and not bragging in the slightest. Despite her beauty and grace, Sasha was very modest. The icy chill in the air was a reflection of her Mantle, yet there was warmth that exuded when she spoke.

"So why don't we start off with your names and where you're from. Also, what brings you to Sacramento?" She sipped her coffee slowly and her hand gestured to any of them to begin.

Not much later after Sasha texted him, he arrived at the Maze. He knew the way into the meeting room. He knocked twice announcing his arrival. "Hi friends, I'm John," the Faceless fellow introduced himself, then took a seat.
