Nestled in the heart of downtown Carson City, the Plaza is the largest hotel in Carson City, offering 166 spacious rooms with a variety of standard, deluxe and king suites with full kitchens. The Plaza is walking distance to over two dozen restaurants and several historic sites including the nationally recognized Nevada State Museum. Across the street is the Max Casino. A few blocks down the street the Nevada State Capital and more casinos.

The perfect setting for two Sacramento Kindred looking for a house to steal and a place to escape the troubles of home.

Davis hooked arms with Mable and escorted her into the Carson City Plaza Hotel. Together they had driven the two hours to Carson City for a night of gambling outside of the watchful eyes of the Sacramento kindred.

"And here we are on the main strip of Carson City. To think this town used to have dirt streets, saloons on every corner, the finest lady escorts, and all the gambling one could afford to lose their money at." Davis gives a chuckle pointing to Mable. "And aside from the dirt streets, it still does."

Mable's smile went from her lips to her eyes. "You, my dear sir, are certainly a charmer. I am hoping however, to not lose my shirt while here."

"Should that happen, dear, I have taken the liberty of packing a change of clothes for you. And should they not meet your liking, I do say I can afford to buy you whatever garments you desire."

Davis checked in to the hotel under an alias, Jefferson Smith. He had booked a two room king suite. Davis addressed the check-in clerk, "Now be sure to note that me and her have specifically requested not to be disturbed. No need for turn down service of any kind. Our stay is a special occasion and we highly value our privacy. Do that and I'll be sure you get a nice tip." Davis peered at the employee's name badge. "Stephon."

Davis had been a nomad long enough to know many tricks to survive on the road during the day. Hotels were doable as long as no one popped in to clean a room. More importantly, was securing the windows. The appeal of the Plaza was it had small windows. Easy fix for the crafty nomadic kindred, thick black trash bags and duct tape. Davis had such items tucked away in his travel case.

Mable gave a flirty laugh and placed her hand on Jefferson's chest, "Sweetheart, no need to give away all our secrets." She gave a bawdy wink to "Stephon' "He tips veery well. We will do our best to keep the noise down." She laughs again.

Davis chuckles at Mable's joke and escorts her up to the room so that they can prep it for their return following a night of action.

"This here is a trick I learned from a French Quarter kindred who refused to sleep in a sealed container." Davis opens his luggage case and pulls out black plastic sheeting and duct tape. He then continues as he begins to cover the curtains and windows preventing all light from the outside from entering the room. "Oddly claustrophobic she was and adored her ultra soft king bed. Said it made her day sleep more restful. She swore it also made her body burn fewer vitae while she slumbered. Whatever that means."

Beneath the sheeting is two sets of clothes. Another tailored suit of his, the other a lacy Victorian dress and umbrella.

Mable watched John...um Jefferson. "Hmmm, I hadn't thought of the black plastic," She pulls a roll of duct tape out of her bag. "I was just gonna duct tape the shades. " She laughs again. She pulled a dress out of her own bag. It was a green sequined dress that dipped down to her butt in the back and had a plunging neck line in the front.

Glancing over to his bag she sees the victorian lace. "OOOo, that lace is so beautiful." She hangs the green dress in the closet and goes back to unpack her nightgown. It was a silky turquoise shift that fell midthigh on her. She also hung that up.

"You can never be too careful with windows, dear." Davis finished securing the windows.

"Oh, that. Just the spare set of clothes I mentioned to you earlier. No need to worry about it none. Looks as if you came prepared with equally alluring ensembles." Davis had given a similar dress to Moretti but had yet to see her wear it. He thought it a shame that such fashion had gone out of style.

"Well, whenever you are ready we can hit the streets of Carson City and see about rustling up some winnings on the strip. The Max is just across the street." Davis checked the dice in his cane, loaded a few aces in his sleeves, waxed his mustache and goatee, and awaited Mable's response.

Mable looked at the dress he brought, "I could try on both dresses and let you choose." She suggested. "I am very quick at changing clothes and shouldn't hold us up more than 5 minutes. It's up to you."

The thought of Mable in the saloon dress would have excited Davis immensely had he been alive. Even undead, it did give Davis a mental image of delight.

"Well now, not to be inappropriate, but we would cease to clash if the period of our dress did most rightly match. If such things are a concern of yours...." likely not as fashion was more of a Daeva nitpick and not a Gangrel "the Victorian would be more in a line with my attire. However, let it not be said that I was a gentleman of uncompromising disposition, I will gladly shave my face and don the clothes of a modern club going frat boy." Davis's southern accent vanished on the last four words and took on a Southern Californian timber as he slipped into one of his developing aliases.
