Amman, Jordan: June 2006

Elanah walked down the street in Amman Jordan. It was 2am local time. She shadowed a man down the street. He is a Iraqi diplomat who has been financially backing Al-Qaeda and there push into Iraq for several years. He is funneling massive amounts of money into Osama's operation. Elanah has been following him for several days now. She has been waiting for an opportunity to get close. Now that opportunity has shown itself.

The man dismissed his guards and went into an apartment complex. Probably visiting a mistress, Elanah thought to herself. She shadowed him up the steps. She wanted to take him on the stairs but didn't want someone to find the body before she could get out.

She wasn't supposed to kill him, just deliver a message. Stop backing Al-Qaeda or he would be taken down. But not everything goes as planned. Elanah waited 45 minutes and then went up. Figuring if the man had any stamina he would be in the middle of his 'Visitation' by now.

Elanah silently moves up the steps to the apartment. Once at the top of the steps she puts on her mask ...
mask

... and readied her weapon. Slowly she turned the handle on the door.. *breath* ... *breath* ... *breath* ... and then she heard a child scream from inside. Another child cry out. Elanah's face went white, her eyes went cold. She pushed the door open just a little. Elanah peaks inside and sees three children in rags. She puts up one finger telling the children to be quiet. They look at her with fear in there eyes.

She walks into the room and padfoots her way to the door that leads to what she assumes to be a dining room. Elanah removes a black pistol with a silencer attached to it. she looks through the crack between the door and its Jam. two men sit at the table, they are discussing terms. Elanah hears them but her head only registers certain words...

"The Boy" ... "2000" ... "The Girl" ... "4000" ... "Both" ... "5500"
... Next to the table she can see two children standing there. Both of them have sad eyes but are clean.

Cleaned for the buyer... Elanah thought to herself.

The Iraqi man takes the girl by arm and inspect her...

NO! Elanah's mind sceams. She kicks the door open and shoots the Seller in the face. one shot clean through the cheakbone. The children don't scream, they don't even flinch. Elanah points her gun at the man and says to the children "Go in the other room" They do.

She moves out of the way and then pushes a chair against the door. The man pleads and begs. She doesnt remember what he said. before he can get out a second sentence she shoots him in the chest twice and once in the head. Elanah walks over to both men and looks at them. There eyes are open, cold lifeless eyes staring to the heavens, when all they have is hell waiting for them.

Elanah walks up to the children. "I will call for help." They nod all together. None of them cry, none of them even whimper.

Elanah makes her way down the stairs and out to the street. She makes her way down an Ally and pulls out her black phone. "Give me the number for the IFRC, Yes connect me." Elanah says. She waits about a minute and someone answers. She explains to them that there are children who have been abused and mistreated and gives the address. She does not mention the two dead men. They will find the bodies and call the police. By that time the IFRC will have the children and keep them safe.

Elanah removes her mask and looks to the sky. She then realizes that this is the first time she hasn't felt the need to ask for forgiveness after taking a life. What does that mean? she thinks to herself...
