Krieg nodded, curiosity intensified within his eyes. "I am a servant to She-of-Many-Faces, commonly known as the Crone. I am affiliated with the Second Descent. Meeting one such as yourself is a most auspicious occasion." He smiled with cheerfulness that might be perceived as creepy. "Might you be one of Her sacred incarnations?"
Mable continued to nurture Caroline with pats, rubs, cooing, etc. like she would with a cat. Mable's response was simple, "I help nature."
The Plague Cat stirred, a pause pregnant upon her lips. The smile that followed, one gathered, was meant to be coy; yet somehow the smile was wrong. Too thin. Too cruel. Too haughty.
"Maybe we are. The Plague Cat has been known by many things. And has collected many titles inside of Hades."
She paused again, eyes unblinking.
"Perhaps we should move to this... farm?"
