Meeting of the Lords - Venture 1809

Ashley was given a date and a time, and she had given the Lords a location. The Black Swan was moored to a dock within the Sacramento Marina. The brow was aluminum and set to board the aft-end of the ship. Halogen lights, cast the area surrounding the ship in brightness, while having the added effect of making it difficult to see what was occurring on the yacht.

Ashley waited on the Aft-end, across the brow, for her guests to arrive. She was dressed in a semi-formal black evening gown, with a glittering diamond necklace and bracelet to provide contrast to the gown. She would guide them straight ahead, to the interior.

She had the interior prepared, for better privacy. True to the exterior, the interior was accommodating and luxurious, providing ample space for the Lord's to attend to their affairs this evening. The interior also contrasted the exterior, with fine cream colored leather seating and other creature comforts, such as a fully stocked bar with black granite and gold streaked bar top.

A meeting of Lords, this time for real. Since last Court their family had doubled in numbers. There are things to discuss, there is information to share, maybe there are even deals to be made.

But most of all, they are to become a family.

Out of all the given options, Ashley's private yacht definitely seemed most appealing. It fitted perfectly with the happy mood Aaron is in. Autumn is approaching and the hours of darkness are increasing with every night.

Completely out of the ordinary, he felt like he could dress the part. By wearing his most colorful outfit, he really opens himself up for this to become a meeting among of friends. Hopefully.

Two political opposites might not fare well together. Rebecca is part of what Aaron still considers to be the ruling Covenant of Sacramento. Kara however, is a girl on a mission. Or so it seemed. And then there Ashley...

Well well, Ashley. This is the stuff of millionaires.

Business must have been good, in Russia, the Dragon Priscus realizes before stepping on the boat.

Outfit

Semi formal, but ah, there were so many stages of semi formal.

Taking in the location, the temperature, and her audience, Kara chooses, a wide leg, sleeveless formal jumpsuit, in black. Which isn't centre stage but the steel blue wrap, she's wearing over her arms is. Enjoying how the fabric played in the light. Jewellery is moderate, simple items. Her wig is in a lovely shade called onyx, styled with twin buns and braids, but well, she isn't a dull girl.

Approaching the yacht Kara is taken aback at the decadence presented. With every step taken on her stilettos, she eyes widen a fraction. Such wealth Cohen had brought with her...

The Shrike flutters and squirms, writhing in it's need to flee! Wrapped in terror, Kara clips it's wings. The feathers would grow back, as would it's desperate desire of flight, but now, they had more important things to do.

"Good evening." an amiable greeting as the shrike fights to fly, she notes one thing, and it brings a smile to her lips.

There was no anger in the Blood, she wasn't the last to arrive.

Goodbye to summer was the theme, and yet style could not be forgotten. As she got ready she selected a black and white floral dress that sang the praises of summer, yet still felt classic and elegant. As she prepared for the meeting she forced the blood into her face, molding her expression into one of friendliness, as she normally did. This was a meeting of family after all and she always put her best face forward.

As Rebecca approached the yacht she couldn't help but feel a little jealous. Soon she would be this established, that much she knew, and yet she wasn't there yet. A little more expanding to do. A little more conquering. She shifted her mindset and thought of the long game. Ashley would be a good family member to get to know further, just as their previous interaction had told her. She had to think of the future value of a relationship over frivolous envy.

As the Harpy stepped aboard she further took in the sights before finally heading towards the interior. Seeing Ashley near the aft-end Rebecca offered her a friendly greeting in direct contrast to her internal struggle to flee caused by her Catalyst. "Good evening," she said with a slight bow of her head, "a pleasure to see you again Ms. Cohen. You look very beautiful this evening. This is quite the marvelous yacht. An excellent location for the meeting." Once inside the private room her Catalyst desired to strike out at the almost radiating woman and flee from her Priscus. Restraint was held though and she remained in place, a friendly smile upon her face.

With a respectful bow she spoke to Aaron first. "Good evening Priscus van Valen. It's wonderful to see you again. I very much enjoy your 'goodbye to summer' outfit. I look forward to the longer evenings that await us."

Rebecca then turned to Kara and offered a slight nod of her head. "Good evening to you as well Ms. Maeve. My word," she said, taking in her appearance, "You look absolutely stunning. I hope your evenings since Court have been well."

With greetings finished, all that was left was four predators about a luxury yacht. What could go wrong.

Ashley waited across the brow on the stern of the yacht, welcoming each one onboard. She cloistering the rage deep within her. With the last of this evening's guest having arrive, she followed them into the lounge area.

The tiny lord made her way over to the sound system, messing with a few buttons, to have soft classical playing on the exterior of the boat. It helped to further mask any talks that may occur inside. The exterior music was soft enough, that it barely bled over into the interior of the ship, in the lounge area where the Lords met.

Ashley always found it interesting, in ways people dressed themselves. Aaron was particularly interesting with his choice. She felt it befitting the Priscus.

"You two are absolutely enchanting this evening." Ashley offered to Rebecca and Kara. "And you are stunning." Ashley offered to Aaron.

Ashley motioned for them to sit where the please in the lounge. The seating was comfortable, while it give plenty of space to each of the Lords.

"Thank you Priscus for gathering us here this evening." Ashley said with a reverent bow of her head to Aaron. It was his show, after all. Who better to kick it off?

Her phone rings, and the Lord looks at the number, what she sees alarms her and she takes the call immediately, going so far to leave the meeting entirely.

We decided to close the scene, without Kara here

The Kindred come together on the beautiful yacht and introduce themselves to each other in more detail.
Ashley reveals her gift: she offers to help Rebecca and Aaron become more resistant to their own Clan Discipline: Dominate.
She further shows gauges the interest of the two to have a shared warehouse. After deeming it useful, they both offer to help. The Doctor has money. The Dragon might know a good spot.

Without any further official business to discuss, they socialize the night away...
