(Memory Lane) Needle in a Haystack

[Circe]

Circe stared for a moment, then frowned in annoyance. Then shrugged, "Fair enough," then got up and headed for a cabinet. She retrieved a pair of large flashlights. She walked over to Echo, offering a light with a absolutely horrid 1930s gangster impression, "Need a light doll face?"


Whether Echo accepts or declines the flashlight Circe will move on to the location.

[Echo]

"Well, I ain't gonna say no sweet cheeks." Echo replies to the blueberry elf, affixing the same twang to her voice, before laughing it off. "Let's go!"

We're headed out to the foresty area around the parking lot to check it out!

As Echo and Wolfgang had discovered before, Pico and Winters had been checking out a series of graffiti tags that had ended up pointing to a gap in Funderland's fence line. The tags were part of Ingrid's 'bread crumbs' to alert passing Lost to the presence of the Freehold.

Beyond that lay the William Rand Regional Park and the golf course: a quiet slice of carefully tended green space in the heart of the urban sprawl. By night, the park is very lonely and somewhat threatening. It would have been moreso to a person wandering out alone, suffering amnesia. Especially if they had been dumped there when completely disoriented - as was suggested in the news articles.

And the Park would have had plenty of places that could act as Gates if one felt so inclined...

However, there is nothing more to be found that bears upon the case.

Killing two birds with one stone here: the fence line and the car park have already been covered; and the amnesia case from the Park is Not The Lead You Are Looking For.

[Circe]

Noticing the tags sparked the memory of conversation. "Ooooooh," Circe winced, "Ingrid's gonna be a lil' pissed ta learn she's been leadin' idiots ta us ain't she?"

Circe trained the light on the green of the park as she tried to figure out where they should go. "Literal walk in the park or are we goin' fer a bit o' golf? Where'd these amnesiacs wander most often?" She quirked her right eyebrow and ear as she walked up beside Echo and leaned to her left to get closer. She whispered, "Hey? This is fey bullshit goin' down. Do ya happen ta have any specialty fer findin' Hedge Gates? Cause that'd be like crazy lucky right now."

[Echo]

"Nope." she says popping her 'p' "I can't find a 'gate all willynilly. I'm good for flirting with people, and makin' 'em dead." she admits, "And. Well. Being an adori-bull helpful fren." smiling like a cherub.

"So. Hmm. Wanna check elsewhere? Call up some more people?" she asks when it became apparent they'd searched this place to death already.

[Circe]

"That ya are that ya are," Circe laughed. "We can put out a mass text fer help and just, I don't know, search fer a signs 'til we get somethin' better ta do?

"Ya me an' WG saw those tags that Ingrid put up for the Lost to find their way to the Park. Looks like Pico and Winters - oh em gee isn't that fuckin' weird ta say! - followed them here. But we can check out the other areas. Since, this is like maybe a dumping ground. Like maybe, we're linked since the tags, and the location, but it's all just a coincidence." Echo hims and haws for a bit, pulling out her phone, "Hey, think we should phone the guy Pico? Like we can totally say we found him online and there's like a person who's got messed up in whatever, and like we need him or something? Like, see what he says. Might be better then us, just like. This whole, shots in the dark thang."

[Circe]

Circe laughed, "It is quite the phrase. Maybe there's a hidden bar in the Park that's tossin' out drunken Normas?" Circe shakes her head, "We solve this tonight we'd sure earn a celebratory pub crawl."

Circe nods, "That's an option. We'd need somebody ta fake bein' a blank ta set up the con. Ugh," the elf winced, "except Pico probably knows our faces from the park." Circe shakes her head with a sigh, "Bullshit I can but maybe callin' in somebody else ta be the face would be better? Feel like we're doin Ocean's Eleven here."

I think we can start to wrap this scene here. Origins Circe can let me know how they want me to frame the next scene. I would suggesting opening up the plot to more people

[Echo]

"Heyyy, don't ya have some new Summer around that haven't been y'know. Around?" Echo asks, hoping from foot to foot. "Maybe their faces aren't known, and I know there's others 'round here that are new-new. So like. We can invite them." she nods. "Gonna have to do another few hours of 'here's our info, now you know this info' things buuuuut. Might be worth it ya?" she nods again, "Like a meeting hasta be set up. Probably away from the Park. Just in case. Since. Ya. But like think it could work?" Echo asks smiling.

Wrapping and getting more people to help sounds good, especially since, welp. My ST duties are pulling my attention away from this and I'd rather Origins, YYC and whomever else have All The Fun instead of me dragging things down. So I will be pulling Echo from the plot so you guys can have All The Fun
