[Ishani]

Ishani walks with Asa and Twist up to the temple doors. She is slightly nervous about this evenings Court but tries not to let it show. With Asa and Twist beside her it is difficult to do anything but smile.

All three kindred approach the doors and wait politely to be announced. Once their names and titles have been called, they enter the temple and walk toward the hostess. Ishani and Twist both give graceful curtseys to the Heirophant as a show of respect.

"Heirophant Circe, Mother of Monsters, you and your covenent honor this Court with such an elegant and beatuful display of creation." Ishani says.

Mariel had dressed slowly. She had hoped to have Michael escort her to the Circle of the Crone's Elysium, but he was long gone. Her adopted childe Alastair had disappeared too. I wonder if they got lost in the shared dream and couldn't find their way back home? she wondered sadly.

She was nervous, thinking about the song she would be singing tonight. She had spent hours and hours looking for something just right, something not too heavy- that would look like a blatant advertisement for the Lancea, which was disrespectful at a Circle affair- and not too frivolous. A "fluffy" song would reinforce the idea that she was too young to be smart, or useful.

Mariel looked with interest at the Crone Temple. This was as close as she had ever been to an alternate worship place, and it was interesting to see all the statues and symbols.

She spotted Circe. Good evening, Hierophant Circe, she said politely, bowing her head slightly. Let me know when you are ready for the musical portion of the evening.

Mariel's dress was a vivid red that complimented her flaming hair, which was pinned up in a simple chignon. Around her neck she wore her reliquary, and a brilliant checkerboard-cut garnet of generous size flashed on her hand. Her shoes were black satin pumps.

Victoria smiled genuinely at Cassandra, "My dear it's water under the bridge. Think nothing of it. I hope you have a pleasant and enjoyable evening."

Noticing the Deputy's arrival that matched a description for Markos and then close on his heels the Prince along with the Harpy and the Viscountess. The last three were the most important people as far as she was concerned. She turned away from Cassandra and announced loudly and with authority to the room.

"His Royal Highness, Asa Clarke, Prince of Sacramento."

She nodded to Headstrong indicating that she should go next and once she had introduced Ishani, Victoria resumed her introduction,

"His Majesty's First Archon, Twist, Priscus of Succubi and Incubi, Lady and Viscount of the Invictus."

Her announcements made Victoria turned to the Prince and gave a large curtsy to him and his party never taking her eyes off the three of them. "Your Majesty, Harpy Naetesh, Most Honorable Viscount, you honor us all with your presence." She spoke her pleasantry as they began their walk into the room not expecting them to acknowledge her. Knowing the Prince's attitude to her she didn't expect him to so much as look her way.

Circe takes seriously the role of hostess, pleasantly greeting greets each new arrival.

"We are honored to display your artwork," Circe says to Regina. "I would welcome an opportunity to talk to you about it at some point during the evening."

"Good evening, Paladin Wells," Circe says, smiing as Madison uses Circe's title. "On behalf of the Circle of the Crone, I thank you for coming and for your kind words. I hope you find some of the artworks to your liking, and that you have a delightful evening. Having heard her practicing, I am quite looking forward to Mariel's performance."

She smiles as well at Joseph. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Hartman. We of the Circle are very interested in creation in all its forms, including artistic creativity. Though many argue our kind, being dead, are not capable of truly inspired art, we believe otherwise, and that the creative process reporsents a type of transcendence, a means of surpassing one of the limits of our condition, and one available to all who find appropriate inspiration."

Circe bows to Asa, Ishani and Twist upon their arrival. "Your Majesty, Harpy Ishani, Priscus Twist, it is a delight to see you all this evening. Thank you also for your kind words," she nods to Ishani. "We of the Circle are honored to host this evening's event, and hope you all enjoy the artwork and performances. From what Primogen Jayant tells me, we also have you to thank for offering some advice regarding the memorial he prepared for those of the Circle who preceeded me, and for helping ready the temple for tonight's event. For that, you have our thanks."

She nods to Mariel. "Good evening, Mariel. I believe the performances will occur after Prince Clarke's proclamations of the evening, but if that plan changes, I will make certain you are informed immediately. I am looking forward to your performance."

"It would be an honor, High Priestess Circe, please seak me out. Pardon me, but I must say hello to others as well." She curtsies, and moves over to Sister Mariel.
"Sister Mariel, please forgive me. I have been extremely busy with my new duties to properly meet with you. I do hope you will forgive me, for the Reeve has kept me quite busy."

Lady Pia! What a pleasure to see you tonight! said Mariel, who had thought that maybe Regina was regretting her informal confession after the fact. She nodded deferentially to the older vampire. I was hoping to talk with you about a temporary place to stay. Since our church burned down, I've been in need of lodging. I thought maybe you had connections with the owner of the hotel where we met this month? It would only be temporary. Once a new church site has been selected, I'll have a better idea of my finances.

I'd like to have a place of my own, she added softly.

Brightening, she continued, You'll have to show me your painting, I'd love to see it!

Sofia and Jessi arrive together, dressed in the outfits purchased for them by the Carthian Movement. Sofia wears a low-cut green gown that emphasizes her curvy figure, and in which she seems perfectly at ease, greeting those she recognizes with a wide smile.. Jessi wears a long. elegant red dress that reveals the colorful but macabre tattoos of skulls, flames, snakes and so on that decorate her right shoulder and bicep. She seems much less comfortable in this outfit than she did at the previous court. She looks around for Arnold, hoping to catch his eye, but when she sees him talking with the dapperly-dressed fellow in the odd mask, she doesn't approach.

Konstantin arrives dressed in a new suit, charcoal gray, with a pale gray shirt and black and gray tie. His hair is tied back. He greets Circe with a nod, nodding again and smiling when she thanks him for exhibiting his whittling. He then looks for the Prince, wanting to be nearby should the Prince need anything of him.

[Asa]

Asa entered, scanning the Court. As they stopped to be announced, he found his Reeve, Hound, and the Primogen, giving each a polite nod.

As Victoria finished, and curtsied, he reached out and ran his hand along the top of her hair as they passed, as one might a favored pet. It wasn't solely a continuation of their game, although he knew she would take it as such -- and probably be infuriated. Nor was it a sign that Twist had spoken to him and that she was forgiven.

As he ran his fingers through the wheat-colored hair, he extended his arm slightly, letting his cuff ride up to expose the gold watch he wore. Auspex-enhanced eyes raced across each face, looking for clues; a change of expression, a focusing of eyes.

Then it was done, and he continued with the Harpy and Viscount to the hostess, silent while the Harpy greeted the Hierophant. He gave Circe a genuine smile and nod as the pleasantries were exchanged.

Father Cordwood | Frail, Deformed | Blood Potency 3

Cordwood arrives at Court, visible for once. He hides his appearance with a very simple trick. He wears a long coat with a high collar as well as a large brimmed hat. It is a simple enough trick, and his Mask is down to facilitate recognition.

Once he arrives, and the rules of Court are explained to him, he removes both his hat and coat. He wears his formal Soutane. It is black, of course, buttons and trim in a deep blue as befitting a Priest. His Roman Collar is spotless white linen, no plastic collars for this Priest. Out of necessity, it has be altered slightly to fit on him better, mostly in the length of the sleeves. He wears no jewelry save for a single piece, a signet ring on his right hand. It is Silver, with an Onyx Intaglio inset to it.

Then, with the echoing sound of bone dislocating, or perhaps breaking, he straightens up from his usual hunched posture to something that no schoolmistress one could rightly take umbrage at. Be that as it may, it is stiff and disquieting, seeming to stretch him out like taffy left in the freezer, tall and brittle and straight as a board.

He approaches the striking woman greeting all who enter, crossing his arms across his chest. "You must be the Hostess for this evening. Hierophant... Circe I presume?" He tips his head in a gesture, but what this gesture means is unclear. "I am Father Benezri Oriundus Cordwood, recently from San Fransisco. Greetings."
