Status
On a late summer night Aaron is reviewing the information he gathered for his house hunt. Just like any hunt, this provided a fun challenge. While his Tenancy is limited to the communal grounds, for now, the silver lining was that he could conduct more focused research.
He could finally say he felt more settled in Sacramento. Over the last weeks, he had put quite some effort into this. Just like he promised Lina.

City Hall Contacts
The Lord had obtained some contacts at City Hall. The people there were a bit cautious with giving away information to someone they just knew - but also happy that their work was getting some "academic" attention. Sure, Aaron is working only for the University. The most important info for him was to be found in between the lines. He only wanted to know if any major changes are coming to some existing neighborhoods.
The Parks and Recreation department apparently has plans to renovate one playground. It had become more and more deserted for no clear reason. More vandals than children these days. Perhaps the atmosphere is not right... Or something else is going on. In any case, a negative energy Aaron is not sure he wants live close to.
Other than that, there did not seem to be many big obstacles.
University database search
Mundane changes aside, the Dragon duo would be most interested in living near some possible "sites of interest". But how to find them? Aaron knew that searching for ley line information would be hard, especially without any Ordo Dracul records to fall back on. But he would definitely it a try. Though his online results...
Did you mean: les lines?
Mental sigh. No. Of course not.
Really, he was curious to read a 2010 article called "Photography, the Index, and the Nonexistent: Alfred Watkins’ Discovery (or Invention) of the Notorious Ley‐lines of British Archaeology", but it was not at all what he was looking for.
And the next result was some research on cell lines by a certain dr. de Ley. Ok. Never mind.
Library and archive research, delving deeper
The Dragon has more luck in the physical archives. One just has to know where to look. Unlike with most academic disciplines, it is only useful when sources are old or assumed "out-dated". Newer sources are usually considered pseudo-scientific. Hardly peer-reviewed. But it matters little to a Dragon who can interpret information more realistically. Even dissertations are fine really.
Following references to older references, it eventually leads to first hand sources. It's safe to assume Aaron visited many different corners of the library. It took him a few hours. But it was worth it.
'Bingo...' and the real work could begin. For what he had now, practically, could still be considered worthless.
Home Calculations
Aaron could not feel any more comfortable, surrounded by maps, making notes. And making assumptions. Lots and lots of assumptions. In due time, he would have to test them. Of course, he has some shady records now. He knows of one Wyrm's Nest for certain. He has other personal preferences. But it is not all about him, and he is glad to admit that.
I guess it is time to talk to the Grand Wyrm.
