The lithe, blond Obrimos was unassuming. It would be hard to imagine she walked the path of the Adamant Way just by looking at her. She had been gone for a while, but it didn't feel like it to her. The Circle was at one time, her actual home. Still, so much appeared to be off-kilter with Sacramento, yet she could not quite put a finger on it.

Weavebreaker's eyes fell upon her fellow awakened. She gave a soft nod, to them as a whole. "Greetings. I'm Weavebreaker, Arrow of the Watchtower of the Golden Key, returning to Sacramento."

Whether it was due to old-fashioned gender etiquette, noblesse oblige or his military training kicking in, he stood up to soberly greet the newcomer.

"Speak of the devil", Campanella's words had been prophetic.

"Well, that's fucking bleak," Alastor said with a grim chuckle. "All right. Well, there's one option if you're looking to set some bait out, to see what bites..." He drummed his fingers on his leg. "If I pop a long-term Ward out somewhere that might seem important, touch it to my spell network, see what touches it, see what analyzes it, and make sure I've got the sympathy to keep solid eyes on it if something does fuck with it, you might find you get some passive bites. Make someone think we're protecting something, maybe we're being sloppy, but we're actually setting a deliberate snare."

He snaps his middle finger and thumb. Right hand.

"And then we've got something to look into. Especially if you pair that shit up with some deliberate modern surveillance cameras to get eyes on mundanely. Just a thought. Sympathetic bullshit can go... a long way."

The slightest of smirks crosses Alastor's lips.

Did he just drop a #magedadpun?

"Hi, Weavebreaker," he said with a nod.

Weavebreaker listened intently at Alastor's suggestion. It had been something she toyed with against Banishers at one time.

"Total angel." She playfully retorted.

"And hello." She gave a nod to the other Arrow.

Campanella steepled his fingers as he looked across the chapel.

"That is a start. Where do you propose setting up your Wards? It goes without saying, if you need some equipment, I can obtain some without much difficulty."

Then his attention turned to Weavebreaker.

"Welcome back, then. You should seek out Vauban, some time. I'm sure you'll have a lot to catch up on." The Moros did not add much more, noting instead the apparent ease with which the Arrows spoke to each other.

"Campanella, Mystogogue on the Path of Doom."

"I'd be open to suggestions, boss," the Mastigos said frankly. "I'm new to town. What's culturally significant? What do Mages care about here? What's a place where a Seer who wants to control the world might care about? The Capitol? Any particular government offices? Museums, maybe?"

He shrugged. Campanella could save him a bunch of time.

"I'll do some looking around for places of occult significance, but if you have ideas, I'm very open to them."

Ward snares. Sometimes, they worked. Sometimes, they didn't. But if they happened to catch some people off guard and learn about some mages, they might lead them to other mages. And then they would be able to begin putting two and two together to see if they could make four.

"The Capitol building, the City Council", he massaged his temple. For informations about the VIPs, he counted on Campanella. Among them, he was the most likely to knowtow with the rich and influential of the city.

"We could follow the ley lines until we dig something", he was offering them the low hanging fruits, then, fishing in his pockets, he drew what he was sure would be like catnip to the awakened. "And there's this", he said, the anonymous thumbdrive in his hand held against their scrutiny.

"Sacramento University, as well." Weavebreaker added, as she eyed the thumb drive in Winter's possession.

Looking back to Alastor, she gave a nod. "It wouldn't be hard to disguise the resonance of the bait, so that no sympathy can be drawn."

"What's on there?" She asked the obvious question, in regard to the thumb drive.

"All right, there we go, that's some teamwork," the Mastigos said with a widening grin and a little point to Weavebreaker. "You down to have one of your ongoing spells be a disguise for a bit, then? I do a ritual, then you do one on top type deal? Or how do you want to get this done?"
