(18SS) Spring Loaded

[Echo]

"Tunnels....sure...a...Gate...right." Ingrid's distraction was caught and the Lioness's blade sharp eyes follow her fellow Darkling's and her brain sputters to a stop. "No offence my Queen....but I kinda want to, like bow down and worship her like no other." said, in that same distant and distracted tone, but was very matter of fact despite this.

[Ingrid]

"Well. I'm not going to stop you if thats your desire," Ingrid sounded just as distracted.

[Echo]

"It is my Desire." she says, even though it was beyond obvious.

The Lioness blinks, slowly. One eye after the other.

"Buut, she's. Over there. Busy. Talking....mmm.' she hums out her appreciation, "And you're right here. We were talking. If I wanted to be a bump on a log, ogling the ever fair Lucifer then I would not have approached and simply waited with baited breath for her to appear out of the mists."

Blade sharp eyes linger over the terrible beauty of the morningstar before Echo tears her eyes away.

"Soooooooo." she drags out, focusing on the Darkling, "What's your favouritee colour?"

[Circe]

ooc: In the main thread Queen Circe has, loudly, announced that the games and event are officially open.

Ingrid turns to Circe's direction when the Summer Queen makes her announcement.

Then, turning back to Echo.

"Blue!"

Pause. Flash of Durance: City of the Moon under its rich, deep, blue sky. Darkness of the desert...

"Green! What about you?"

Ingrid was looking back across the room to the selection of games.

[Echo]

Circe's voice, rings throughout the park. Games eh? Sounds fun.

"So teal?" Echo asks with a smile, wondering why Ingrid had quickly changed her answer, a shaded look upon her face.

"Oh! Me? Red!" she grins. It falls, and understanding dawns.

red marks and raw scars. fangs coated and dripping. blood arches, falling across the dunes

"...." she swallows the lump in her throat, eyes dancing as she frantically searches for a colour that isn't something she associates with the Endless Desert and She Who Mauls. "...green." it was safety. Palm leaves swaying in the breeze. The scent of freshly cut grass. Safe things.

"So!" abruptly, forcing distance between her and the thoughts of colour and their associations. "Games? You wanna play one or them all? 'tis the Season for friendly competition~"

[Ingrid]

Ingrid could only share a wary smile with Echo when the Lioness tripped over herself.

"So... Ah! Don't let me hold you back. Go for it. I have to... ehm... pass something along, anyways. So. Maybe I'll... You know... Circulate."

Ingrid gave Echo a hasty nod and made an even hastier exit from the conversation, following where the Fairest (the terrifying one) went.

Was Ingrid fragile or what?

The Lioness nods, stretching out, "Sounds like a plan,"

Standing she offers a finger wave to Ingrid who's trajectory leads her to Lucifer, while Echo ambles over to the games.
