(Circle) Meeting at the Athenaeum

[Campanella]

"No idea," Campanella responded to Langdon's query.

Turning to Epitaph: "Perhaps that might be the best. I won't discourage anyone else from trying to establish rapport with the Golden Consilium if they really do wish it, but I warn that the costs are high and the benefits are... few.* As for expanding out Guangxi to other areas, I'm all for it if any of you would put in the time and effort^."

Nodding to Aurora: "Yes. The Clock is an artefact we can turn to our advantage. Doing so would need to be handled with care. It does not belong to the Order and I have no idea if it is currently active or simply dormant. We could make a study of it, as a group ourselves, perhaps. To date, I don't think any Awakened of this Consilium has actively examined the Clock. We have always simply assumed it was... there."

* Making contact with the Golden Consilium was always a Glimpse rather than an actual thread as far as I can recall.

^ I'd venture that establishing links with other Mysterium caucuses elsewhere would also fall under Glimpse fodder if people wanted to write something up.

[Langdon]

"Has anyone looked into the Clock with different Arcana sights?" Start with the low hanging fruit. "Dormant?" Langdon looks at Aurora then to the other new Mystagogue in town Epitaph . "I feel like I have some reading to do to catch up...or to start writing I guess?" A sad look around the chamber they currently reside in.

So much lost, or was it? How deep did the alterations go? Could the workings have fundamentally changed the town to a entirely new place? Could all of this be the result of an entirely different fight? Langdon rubs the bridge of his nose as he lets the crazy thoughts slide away.

[Aurora]

She thinks on what Campy has said, “Well, maybe it’s time we seriously look at it. And I agree, it should be done with care, and even though it doesn’t belong to us, it should be looked at.” Then a pause, “I don’t remember it before things started going south. Like when I first arrived in the city, I don’t remember it being present.”

A brief nod, “Dormant in the sense that it hasn’t sent us back in Time to deal with something the Seer’s were trying to screw with.” She tries to explain, “Since our last trek through time, its sat silent.” A shrug. “And we’re not sure why.” That was the short of it.

Then a nod offered to Campy, “Like he said, no one has really examined it. So maybe we could start there, and like you said, with different Arcana. Or hell, even a fresh set of eyes is better than what we currently have, which is nothing.”

[Epitaph]

"Agreed. We must begin to study this phenomenon. I suspect that it is not just a masterful working, and not even the work of an archmaster, but instead involves something yet more miraculous. Perhaps it is even an Artifact. Either way, it must be studied. Shall we simply report our findings at the next meeting and collate the information?" Epitaph suggested.

[Campanella]

While the group talked, Campanella had been stroking his chin.

"Yes. I'd say that would be the ideal solution to moving forward."

He let his hand drop and let his gaze rove carefully around the room.

"Is there anything else to discuss? If not, I'd venture that we have some tasks laid out before us: a study of the Clock and some explorations of extending our Guanxi network - both among our colleagues of the River City Consilium and beyond."

He paused for effect.

"If there is nothing else, we can draw this meeting to a close."

[Langdon]

Langdon nods as Aurora and Epitaph share their thoughts. "So if the Clock starts moving then let everyone know?" Presumably people will want to know before Time Travel happens...holy shit. Finally a nod to Campanella. "Nothing else from me. Plenty of phenomena to look into though." A happy smile creeps across the Stalker's face.

[Epitaph]

"Nothing else from me," Epitaph agreed.

[Campanella]

Campanella nodded.

"Having experienced the Clock's power, I can assure you that if it were to start back into life, we would all know."

He moved toward the door and opened it with the same slow gestures he had used to close it.

"The Caucus is at an end. Go in peace." He intoned dolefully.
