Soft huffing gives away Chris attempt to not chuckle as Odin's name is turned into spirit tongue. Maybe not a deed name, but definitely something to hold onto. The voice though, its stationary and watching. Somewhere. Hmmm.

Damn spirit doing its thing. Not that the locals have any reason to fear us more than usual. How is this town so damn empty. Why am I the only Talon? No, damn it. No time for that crap right now. Spirits are weird, being weird. Chris begins to move through the shadows, trying to keep pace behind Bell-Hop.

Hector stopped and stared with air of rising panic. The Cahalith could guess at what Odie had attempted to do; the Bell-Hop's response threw him and probably everyone else. Hector didn't have time to ponder the intricacies of spirits. He was barely certain he could manage a pack. At least he knew he couldn't just sit there and let things spin out of control.

A lone wolf would die out here. That set his course.

Growling - for that was all Hector could do to articulate his frustration - the Iron Master set off after the errant Spirit and his fellow Tribe member. Along the sway he cast an angry eye at the shadows and growled - to save face.

<<Follow. We must not split the pack>>

If this was a trap, they'd face it as a pack of Uratha. If the spirit was leading them to what passed for the region's lord or ruler, they'd face it down as Uratha should.

<<A tricksters ruse not always work>>

He added that in support of Odie. There would be questions at the end of this, he knew. For the moment, this Alpha was willing to put up with a tricksters spontaneity and guile.

Not to overlook Odin's suggestion - or to be left behind - the grey wolf trots after the retreating spirit. He looks for something to use as 'baggage' on the move, head and neck craning one way and the next. Sniffing a little and the righting himself to keep pace with the others.

All the while, he can't help but wonder where the other's heads are on this hunt. Becoming a pack isn't just chatting over a stack of pancakes or hunting after the same deer; it's about each one making up for where the others are lacking. As of right now, the only one he truly knows is himself. He knows his own strengths and weaknesses.

But the older wolf is beginning to wonder about Odin...

Tristan-wolf noses the ground easily finding a metal garbage can push upon its side. The garbage spilled into the alley, plastic bags and paper bags, things that can't be bag but might have been, litter the alley, tracking farther into the ink dark shadows.

Odin All-Father ever known for his Wisdom, his namesake however astutely showed its lack.

Following Bell-Hop away from the others, the alley and their watcher.

One by one the wolves break off to follow the pup, these actions only gaining legitimacy when the wolf they call Alpha but so far seem not to heed as such, call out to them to follow the pup. To not split the pack.

The Pack dosen't part, but they are not a the united showing of Uratha that they were meant to be when claiming to be Pack. Instead they follow the ring-ring-ringing Bell-Hop like ducklings.

Away from the ink dark alleys and towards a well lit elegance of a hub of activity, Spirits of all shapes and sizes go about their alien lives, Bell-Hop pays them no mind, his focus sharp, and destination clear.

The sound that had been far off yet of so near, sound closer still to the Pack's ears.

    O
    Odie

    <<...Come find me, with a bell...>>

Odie pondered alternate meanings of the feline's directions as he followed the Bell Hop Spirit, secure in the thought the Alpha had directed the Pack to follow along. Following the Bell-Ringing Spirit had made perfect sense at the time, but the fact that they had left the shadowy area they had originally entered bothered him. The thought that maybe they were to find the spirit closer at hand and BRING it a bell as some sort of obscure chimanage passed through his mind like an annoying loose thread on a sweater vest.

Before he could dwell too deeply on the matter, the young pup was distracted by all the odd assortment of city spirits passing by in this brighter, fancier place. Certainly plenty of spirits to consider here. What was the Alpha seeking again? A Spirit of Tricks and Survival? The shadowy alley area seemed a more appropriate hunting ground for such things. Not an elegant, well lit area. A true child of the Iron Masters, Odie was most definitely a City Wolf, but even he associated Uratha and their needs with darker, simpler, more primal places.

The young Cahalith shrugged, and scanned the crossing spirits for one that suited the Alpha's request or any evidence of the taunting feline presence. Hopefully the Bellhop's destination would provide some productive insight. The pup grinned wryly. He felt like such a tourist and decided he should dedicate an old Polaroid to bring along next time.

    <<...Come find me, with a bell...>>

The words still bugged him, echoing in the back of his mind. Odie glanced over at the Bell Hop Spirit wondering how easy it would be to remove it's bell without serious harm to the friendly spirit. Just in case. It always was always good to consider alternative plans, should first attempts go awry.

A large dark colored wolf with rusty streaks steps from the shadows and falls in line behind the Alpha. Eyes flick to the Alpha and the head bows before Chris turns back to the task at hand, seemingly chastised for hiding in the shadows. So be it, time to see where this goes.

<<Busy. Ahead.>> Rumbles from the Irraka as he thinks out loud. This is starting to seem like a bad idea. A very bad idea. That is a lot of spirits, a lot of unknown, where the hell is Bell-Hop...wait.

<<Borrow. Bed. ... Pay. Goal?>> Chris tries to say quietly as he moves to be a half step to the right and back of Hector.

Hector is quiet as he makes his way after Odie. He is not following the other Cahalith! Rather, he seeks to preserve the pack's integrity - and he is willing to admit a certain curiosity as to where the Bell Hop is going. This Alpha might appear to be more willing to go with the flow, but he is alert nonetheless - and learning. That is the secret of the Farsil Luhal - never stop learning.

The landscape of the Hisil is changing. From phantom buildings and deep shadows to a well lit, well ordered hive of activity. The crazy Cahalith begins to wonder if their territory lies across two domains in the Spirit Realm. If his hunch is right, discovering the powers at play will be beneficial: they could still turn the hunt to their advantage yet.

Hector grunts in response to the pack's Irakka.

<<Bell Hop wants to take us somewhere. I say let it. We shall see what we find. Powerful spirit. Perhaps able to make friends?>> He rumbled back, subtly moving to one side to allow Chris to hustle forward should he wish.

<<You Pathfinder? Tell me where ... human ... hunting grounds are, like... next to here>> The annoyance at the lack of human idiom gushed through Hector's grunt. He turned to look at the Irakka. <<I want to know where here is. Think maybe... two spirit territories here>> And boy didn't that take some thinking out first!

Tristan's own suspicions mount as the ragtag group follows the jangling, floating spirit. He takes a spare moment to snatch up an empty bag, which now seems like a pointless gesture. After all, the spirit is already moving. But then, spirits are strange things. 'Baggage' seems important to their floating host.

The surroundings hardly phase Tristan-wolf, and his attention remains glued on Bell Hop. The only others he pays any attention to are the pack, as they follow along. Odin making himself halfway useful... Chris being cautious. And Hector actually calling the shots. Tristan hadn't looked at the lack of commands as a weakness. Not really. But some firm direction takes the pressure of making decisions off the rest of them. Which leaves Tristan able to keep his wits about him.

Which leaves his ears pricking at the primal rumblings of 'two territories'. Which, in turn, gets the man brain turning.

The Uratha are lead this time as their Alpha commands.

Bell-Hop as its name and appearance might imply, leads them to a hotel.

The idealized image from the advertisements and brochures. Blueprints given life and function.

The ever dark and crisscrossing alleyways is as different as night and day from the surroundings of the hotel, which change even more as the Pack are lead inside.

Traveling through these differences and remembering what the city had planned for the Material, Hector and Tristan can infer that there will be Spirits of Transportation, Commerce, Hospitality the lingering Spirits of Construction, the Weather Spirits being choked and strangled by the City-Hub's attrition, and of course the darker, trickier Spirits found in ever dark alley ways....

    <<Guests!>> Bell-Hop chimes, bell a'ringing.

Which draws the pup's eye, the bell not attached to the Spirit, but a part, a piece of the Spirit. A Spirit, not if the material means to part the bell from the Bell-Hop one would have to cut the bell away. Like one would need to sever flesh from bone, to retrieve someone's hand.

Chris bobs his head at the Alpha's words. Makes sense. This place is like that. Just like the material world but a whole lot more weird. And his guess was right. A hotel. Fucking wonderful. As the pack rolls in Chris's wolf head swings from side to side taking it all in. His body language tones down though, almost as if the near dire-wolf is trying to pull in on himself without actually becoming smaller.

Beats of the Destroyer sing softly in Chris's ears. A miss-step here will end with trouble or violating an Oath. And Chris isn't one to kick dirt at the gods.
