(PrP) Mark of the Beasts

Viola-wolf lunges but the Cat Thing is too fast, possessed of diabolically insane reflexes on his gangly limbs. Somehow the creature flips around the Ahroun's hideous thrust. Yet still, Viola-wolf tastes blood and fur in her mouth as predator and prey dance around one another.

All that movement, that distraction, favours Tristan-wolf's follow up tactic. The Elodath lumbers behind, barrelling into the Cat Thing straight after Viola-wolf's attack. Caught between the two Uratha, the creature is trapped and pinned.

Cat Thing and wolf rock and roll. This time, the slippery creature wriggles free but all its forward momentum is lost.

Viola-wolf's lips pull back, snarling she circles around the side of Tristan-wolf, intent on snapping at the Cat Thing once more, but not wanting to hit her pack mate with her powerful jaws.

Tristan shifts form to Gauru as a reflexive action during auspice moon. STR is now 5. Hishu Sta (2) + PU (1) for a total of 3 rounds.

Before Tristan-wolf explodes into a towering, steaming, pile of claws, fur and teeth. There is only dust, fur, and inhuman howling as the contest is joined...

The thing stands little chance now, unable to escape and being torn at by Tristan's pack-mate. Tristan struggles with the creature, trying to bring his fearsome jaws in close to bite the cat-thing.

The struggle continues, tear up the earth and sending gritty dirt spray and torn grass tussocks into the night air.

Viola-wolf dives in once more, this time rewarded with blood and flesh and a howl that is too human to be animal, yet too animal to be human. The screaming doesn't stop and Tristan ends it with snapping shut the jaws of his mighty maw.

Blood and bone feed the earth.

The twisted Cat Thing, now ruined and broken bleeding, falls limp.

Combat ends. Cat Thing.

The Cat Thing goes limp but Viola-Wolf dosen't relax right away.

She waits. This wouldn't be the first time prey played dead to attack or escape when she drops her guard.

Eventually she dies relax, the Cat Thing was kilo and bleeding out. Offering nothing but what it appeared.

Cautiously Viola-wolf comes closer, nosing at the near corpse.

It had come into their territory and killed Man. But what the fuck was it?

Viola tries to think back. Her old man was an asshole, but he rambled more then a gibbous moon over weird shit. Maybe she picked up something when the rested by that fire....

Her head shakes and she huffs, guess she hasn't been paying as much attention as she thought.

Rage clouds Tristan's mind. He doesn't even notice that the thing has stopped struggling. The hulking Gauru savages the limp creature again.

Moments later, as the strain on his body finally takes its toll, the abomination that is Tristan shudders and shifts into a - slightly - less fearsome form. In the place of the amalgam crouches a large, monstrous grey wolf.

The wolf-thing shakes its head, tastes the blood on its tongue. He becomes aware of his pack-mate once more.

<<What is this? Where is pack?>> he asks Viola, in a guttural growling First Tongue.

Roleplaying out that last round of Gauru and then evoking Auspice moon, yet again, to assume Urshul. Feels like cheating!

The embodiment of rage shifts shrinks until his firm matches hers.

<<Do not know>> Viola-wolf growls out, tongue reaching to lick the blood off her muzzle.

Viola-wolf huffs and shakes her, before throwing her head back and howling for the rest of their pack.
