Another night.
Another alley and a Savage on the hunt.
She had worn what she considered a badge of honor long enough. It was time to heal it and get ready for their upcoming battle. Going into it already hurt could put those around her at a greater risk, she needed to be a one hundred percent to protect them.
So there she was, a familiar hunting area for her, dressed in black to blend in, hood up covering her pale face.
Hunting the alley’s was getting old. Fast. But it was the safest and easiest way to go about it. She had been careful around her Herd, covering her wound, not feeding from them. But hopefully after tonight, she could return to having her meals delivered, so to speak.
She choice the opposite side of the street this time, ducking into dark alleys and looking for her prey.
It didn’t take long before she found dinner. Sitting on a box, their back to her, seeming to be intent on whatever had their attention. Perfect.
Her movement while quiet, was shift and with purpose. Arms enclosing her target, teeth descending and sinking deep into the exposed flesh on the neck.
The warm coppery fluid hit her at once, her Beast giddy with the taste as the body ceased it struggle and relaxed. Accepting what was to be and enjoying the sensation.
Pulling her mouth away, she closes the wound, letting the body fall from her arms onto the ground. Dead eyes look dismissively at the body, as she absently wiped her mouth with the back of her hand.
Turning, she pushes the stolen blood into her body, feeling that wound begin to knit itself closed as the flesh repaired.
A cold smile spread across her lips, the Savage was back, as she walks away.
