His hunt through the Shadow must have taken him miles from home. He'd hoped to chance across the territory of his... interest. Sooner. Now, so very close, he hesitates. He must be certain. The grey wolf stoops at the shoulder to sample the scent again. Yellow eyes remain fixed towards the structure. Ears pricked to catch the slightest of sounds.

He’s hoping those few words, taken on credit by his fellow wolves, will serve. There’s no time to stop and rough out a full explanation of the Magath’s ban.

It’s not clear just what the limits of this twisted spirit’s prohibition are, though. Can it act at all without first giving chase? Will it defend itself if attacked?

Only one way to find out, Kid thinks, and begins to close in.

Time to dance.

The wolves began to advance, fangs flashing, limbs rippling with well honed muscle beneath sleek fur, and the Magath shied away from their approach. At least, it appeared to, the massive amalgamation of engine and beast falling back, but it was not retreating. No, instead, it crouched down, preparing itself, and with a mighty whistle and a gout of flame roaring in its throat, it began to spew a thick, choking smog from the exhaust vents along its spine. Clouds of black smoke billowed outwards, engulfing the room in a storm of black fumes...

Visibility is now terrible, as is using scent. However, wolf hearing is sharp! Perception -3 allows you to act as normal. Failure means that you don't know what's going on, and you'll be using Blindfighting rules ( Saber Sloth , if you wouldn't mind quoting those for us ) Except Kid, who has his pack awareness gift active. He knows what's going on. Other gifts might grant a similar effect!

Meanwhile, outside the railyard monolith, the lone wolf Tristan heard the deafening whistle bellow, a brutal, aggressive sound that only meant one thing: impending violence...right where the wolf-scent was leading him...

Canine ears swivel towards the sound. At last. His quarry. Blood and Essence await.

The Magath emits a cloud of foulness that washes over Kid and his pack mates. It burns his eyes and fills his nostrils.

Yet Kid has another kind of sense, a blessed sense, allowing him to locate his fellow wolves. He can feel them, and that feeling fills him with boldness.

With a howl, he leaps at the Abomination. That howl is a call to action, a call to future Glory; a howl meant to grab the attention of the Cahalunim.

It is a howl that says Follow me! to his pack.

Those terrible Urshul jaws snap at the creature, looking to draw first blood.
