Nothing is perfect or even necessarily great at first. My first character Logos died a think two months into play. Not because he should have died but because I thought it was a good idea to have an Obrimos Arrow fight to fist fight zombies. The piece de resistance of that scene was his head getting thrown at his former allies. Then my second Obrimos Arrow died when he tried to scout a ?Banisher? sanctum. Was mind controlled, promptly knocked unconscious, and then his tattoo was delivered to the main Awakened HQ.
tl;dr: Things happen. What matters more is how you respond to it. This is a game, something to have fun at. Causing shit for the sake of causing shit isn't really cool. However if that is the character and they do it well, then there's a reason the Honeybadger attitude is settable. Screwing up? Learn from mistakes and roll with them. It can make interesting role play.
I had never played in a play by post before joining here. I don't even read my early posts now because I know I'm better at playing and writing since then.
Everything being said, Werewolf is about the Pack. There are no Lone wolves here. So a concept of a hermit who only interacts with spirits isn't a good idea. Nor is someone who hates everyone else. Can a character with rough spots work? Sure, just don't use it to drive massive wedges around.
