(1704) Sanctuary 6

[Campanella]

Campanella thought for a moment.

"We could put a little cantrip on your weapons to give them a better balance and edge*." He offered. "A quick Ritual before you go should suffice, given we know the numbers and have the time in advance." He knew from past experience that rituals were not his strong suit.

"Defensive structures would require someone versed in Matter to be there with you. A few transmute and transmogrify spells could do it; not sure if they would be effective but they could slow them down or let you take out a few clusters of these... Things."

*Campy is referring to Alter Accuracy

"Wouldn't mind, like, seeing that stuff and, you know."

The mop bobs at Campy. Because dust. And Angel. Wait for it. Still? As far as he knew, he'd handled more items of power than anyone else. That's far from expert but it was still a thing. As much a thing as shifting this way and that, trying to make the Backlash not hurt.

And tripping the times fantastic?

I Am Jack's Unofficial Duty. Zombies grossed him out more than scared him. What scared him was doing a caper without anyone watching the exit. It's not a Nimbus measuring contest, but the only other person who could probably handle an attack on the Circle while the Away Team was... away... was on the Away Team. So Guardian gotta guard.

"You know, total tangent here. But." Long fingers waved around. "Lotta Apostates. Anyone interested in, like, Pentacle stuff?" Picture speed dating. With Orders. "Or are those, you know. Final Answers."

Because every Apostate is a potential Seer or Banisher, yo.

[Bolide]

When Campanella mentioned starting things earlier through temporal intervention, Bolide was half tempted to ask what fighting zombies would start here in Sacramento. The other raids were in distant times and places, whereas this was in the same city only a few years ago. It wasn't going to change what needed to be done though, so the thought is discarded as the distraction it would likely become.

"Sure we can Matter things." The Theurgist gave Tuesday a nod, not feeling the need to rehash what he had thought of earlier. His gaze lingers on Campanella for a second, as his offer was something Bolide hadn't figured out how to do yet. One more thing to talk about later.

Bolide's attention shifts to Star as the Councilor asks the Apostates about their future with the Orders. "Still debating where I want to fit into the pentacle. I've been told my skill set fits with the Libertines pretty neatly, but also to check out the Mysterium. I left DC in a bit of a hurry, so I didn't really get the full scoop on the orders. I was hoping to take some time and figure some stuff out personally before committing one way or the other."

[Thrope]

Sooo we're finding a room and locking ourselves inside of it. Letting the dreamers do their thing and hoping the zombies are dumb. Ha fucking zombies. God damn it all. Thrope leans back into the pew as the others talk.

Baseball bat? Something heavier? Never had a Zombie 101 the hell. The Thyrsus leans forward on his elbows on the pew in front of him. Going to have to talk with the boss. As Star mentions Orders though Thrope's gaze moves to the two Obrimos's who haven't joined up. Tuesday is also an Apostate but she's cabaled up so there's a bit more trust there.

"Those two are more than a little different you know." Thrope says to Bolide after a bit of thought. "Kind of like gasoline and a torch"

[Aurora]

Faye had been quietly sitting, observing and caffinating. Caffinating was totally a thing, and she did it well.

"Well, I have some knowledge of Matter, not a whole lot, but I can make stuff happen. And I'll go with the team that will need the healing. Kinda my thing now." but man, the Abyss was a bitch!

Looking to Boldie, "Always a good thing to not rush into, least in my opinion. Each of us fits somewhere in the Pentacle."

[Tuesday]

"So before we get sent back a couple'a years are we gonna plan for more then what's gonna happen in a zombie apocalypse? Since. Oh nine, and here. In Sacramento. There's gotta be more info we could dig up." from where the unicorn's perched, she turns towards their resident Alchemist, "Campanella?"

On Pentacle thoughts, Tuesday hums. She's been having Pentacle thoughts since she'd shown up.

Star or Avis.

Arrow or Guardian.

Eeny meeny miny moe.

Sigh.

[Campanella]

Campanella nods to Bolide . "We can have a chat sometime if that is your wish," he said simply.

"More information?" Campanella frowned. "As far as I've been able to tell large parts of the past have been... er... scrubbed. Or the information on the events lost or hopelessly garbled. I haven't been able to find much on my own..." He frowned. "But I admit being focussed on other... matters... at the time."

[Archangel Michael]

"We could practice some Astral travel until then..." Michael suggested to the Astral Team. "I fear we don't have time to do so, but trying wouldn't hurt, I guess."

He was ashmed of himself for not being able to defnd his comrade in a time of need, so he wanted to make sure he would excel at the task he choose.

"If we can survive his tribulation, I promise to tighten my ties with the pentacle." Michael answers as he approaches the Obrimos Councilor. "I'm not comfortable to take a important decision in a time like this..."

[Thrope]

Tuesday has a good point. Maybe there is stuff that can be dug up. If fucking Zombies showed up then someone better have written down something. Arrow's aren't illiterate...despite common disbelief.

Grabbing his bag Thrope stands. "The Arrow got a space here or somewhere close by? Someone probably wrote something down." Because seriously, fucking zombies. "Assuming I can get in without someone's present going off."

[Campanella]

Campanella nodded toward another part of the building.

"Down that way. Each Order of the Pentacle has a section of this great building reserved for their use. Though I am not sure what you would find down there but perhaps some of your Order's archive's have survived."

He pinched the bridge of his nose and grimace while he forced the tired gears of his mind to whirl.

"Perhaps check out local libraries or newspapers as well. We have a year, yes? And... A place? Surely something as brazen as a... A... Zombie attack would make its way into the news cycle. It strikes me as something too large to effectively hide from view."
