And so the two remaining Lost set out through the neighborhood, heading for the small park at its center and the standing stones which were promised to be at its center. And, as they traveled, the duo couldn't help but admit that it was a fascinating neighborhood. The sun was swiftly setting, yet lights began to wink on along walkways and from elegant, faux iron streetlamps, flooding the neighborhood with a soft half light that transformed the unkown depths of shadows into places of possibility and wonder. The occasional fragment of laughter or music floated along the current of the wind, providing a fleeting soundtrack to the falling night, and soon it seemed that the only people still left on the street were the two Lost...and everyone that owned a dog.
Eventually, however, the duo reached the edge of the park, a small piece of verdant wilderness whose well paved and softly lit paths somehow did nothing to distract from primal beauty of the park at night. The journey to the standing stones was relatively uneventful, though at one point both Green and Morgan had to quite the path as an entire herd of dogs ran by, several laughing man and women intermixed in the furry pack, though once that strange spectacle had passed the quiet of the night had descended once more, and soon the two were looking out at the standing stones...
Much less impressive than they sounded, each stone was only about three feet high, and weather worn, though it was undeniable that all four stones sat in a perfect square across from the others. Most shocking, however, was that all four stones were also in the middle of a wide, shallow creek. A nearby sign had some basic information on the stones, citing a few myths about them, and then went on to discuss the creek, a manifestation of the aquifer on which the neighborhood sat.
