Formal courts were the Daevas absolute favorite. If she was creative by any means it was picking appropriate attire. For this, her choice of the Orient was what she thought was fitting for this occasion.
Taking her past familiarity with The King and I, she chose something similar to the costuming of the movie. She was confident that Yul Brynner would approve, and the King of Siam. From the Ram-thai headdress to the nails of the fawn lep, she walked into the Formal Court with confidence. Those nails were attached to metallic fabric gloves. The nails were not that of traditional Thai dancers, for she was not that ridiculous to wear such things at court. Her shoes were even authentic to the Thai National Dancer costume. She felt divine.
That was until she walked into the den of Beasts. Those of whom she could feel, Vivian wanted to tease their eyeballs with the fake tips of her nails and stuff them in the sockets. Alas, she told her Beast that she wouldnt risk making her costume dirty by any means. It was far too much hassle to scrub blood out of ornate fashion accessories and she could speak from experience.
Mmmm new Kindred. Oh how delightful. Vivian wasnt sure if her subconscious was being sarcastic or not.
Instead of the normal bowing her head to the Prince, Vivian folded her hands to a traditional bow from the native country's attire she wore. It would have been far too cumbersome to bow her head and have her headpiece fall to the ground.
