Nathan's initiative is 8.

|
When Alex hears the action start he eases down the stairs and into the barroom, trying to get a sense of where all the enemies are and looking for any signs of the hostage.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
As Alex crept down into the bar, the building filled with choking smoke, he could barely see through a parted curtain of flame the backs of the privateers. And he could hear muffled shouting and thumping coming from a barrel on one of those backs...
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The mountain moved.
Proving he could actually manage bursts of speed if he wanted.
Bellowing, he charged right into the mass of privateers - his charge straight and true into the Ember elemental. Green did not want that flame thrower turned on any of them, so he reasoned he'd have to take the brute out first.
This was no grapple. Green simply hurled himself bodily at his foe and threw all of his weight behind a arcing punch.
It was fantastic to watch - right up to the point where he barrelled through the privateers and crashed, bodily, into the building behind them.
TRANSLATION: WTF!?
Anyway, Cayce can Green fulfil his Vice and regain 1 WP for unleashing all that pent up anger?

The sadistic, gleeful smile on the Ember man's face disappeared when he saw a literal mountain of a man about to come crashing down on him, but through the thick pall of smoke Green had misjudged the distance between his fist and the other man's face as he barreled onward. A shriek erupted from his right as he went charging past, and a small line of pain appeared on his side as the giant eyed woman frantically slashed out at him with her knife.
Meanwhile, the hobs surged onward through the smoke, and faced with this oncoming mob the Ember man turned towards them and with the press of a trigger unleashed a swarm of burning insects upon the hobs, lighting half of them aflame.

Fire. He could smell it better than most. The smell of burning wood didn't bother him; it was, after all, his doing. But there was a special something about the scent of singed flesh which electrified the Hunterheart's senses. His reason was faltering and he could no longer keep facts straight. What had they come here for? He could not remember, but he did remember something: anger and fear. And he remembered who it was directed towards. His instinct told him what came next.
With a furious growl he leaped towards the man of ember. Restrain had gone the way of reason, and all he wanted was to grab, and bite, and tear, like he had done so many times before. So many...

Nathan's fingers clawed and scrabbled, and grabbed the still sputtering cannon of burning insect plagues, drawing the Ember into a desperate struggle to free himself from the vicious man that had just leapt upon him.
Seeing the man that had threatened to rain death upon them suddenly set upon, the three surviving hobs rushed forward with a great cry, their charge taking them flailing through the smoke to tackle the huge piggish man to the ground, where he struggled and squealed against his attackers.
Then, another gunshot cracked through the air, a flash of light tearing through the smoke as a rifle bullet punched into Green's side.
