No I'm not. I just wanna go home, shower and forget this stupid fucking night ever existed! Is the doll's mental shriek, as her blood flexes and the wounds the rat left are healed.

"I'm fine." she says aloud, and nods a Joseph's words. "Nothing a hot shower wound't fix." she murmurs as her stares after the rats, wondering just why why'd run off. They'd tasted their sweat vitae...and they'd fled....something's not right, but...the siren call of a decadent bubble bath is strong.

The Kindred paused for a moment, still tense about a potential threat coming. Yet all they hear is the rushing of water. The sound as it drained into the sewers from the streets above as the downpour continued unabated above. The squelching as the fatberg tried to hold back another flood beside rats, though they could all see they had been thorough in their work. The mass of lard was about to give way and release the sewage it had been holding back.

Not waiting to find out what would happen then, Joseph was already climbing the ladder when the next threatening wave started coming down the tunnel towards them.

Climbing the ladder requires 4 successes total. You can never have more successes than the person above you on the ladder.

Joseph is a quarter of the way up the ladder; ie 1 success. He needs three successes to finish the climb and reach the surface (Str+Athletics+5 for climbing a ladder)

Alice and Robert need to make Dex+Athletics to retain their footing as they are hit by the water. Then ONE of them can start climbing (Str+Ath+5).

Cross sees and hears nothing but the slowly building tide of waste ready to burst forth from behind the remains of the fatberg.

Suddenly, Joseph's suggestion and Alice's concurrence sound mighty fine to the burned haunt. Cross turns to find the night lawyer already making his way up the ladder. "Follow him," he calls to Alice, trying to keep steady in the strengthening currents of filth. His feet can't seem to find purchase, however.

Seeing the tide of ick swiftly moving closer to them the doll didn't need to be told twice to follow Joseph up the ladder. But the coming tide of lard and worse was to strong for the doll to hold her footing.

Greenberg scrambled up the ladder in a second. For such a refined gentleman, he seemed pretty nimble when threatened with putrid water about to over take him.

Alice and Robert weren't as coordinated. Then again, they weren't holding onto a ladder for support. The rush of rain water caught their legs and pulled with unexpected strength, causing both Haunts to fall. The new flood washed away the bit of congealed fat that remained but the fresher water (and fresh was a loose term) still threatened to sweep them downstream.

Dex+Ath to stand.

The water rages forth, a flood, a second plague close on the heels of the horde of rats. And suddenly Cross is off his feet. In the dark and wet, he struggles to stand, to gain his footing, to reach the ladder.

Alice shrieks as the tide of foul and the slightly less foul dives ever onward, and towards them. Alice struggles to regain her footing even as the sharp should escapes her throat, the doll, in desperation wills herself to stand, to move, to reach the ladder and escape this shit soaked hell.

The two Kindred below manage to struggle to their feet. The rain water continues to rush around them. They might have heard before now that six inches of water can make you fall, as had just been proven. And the water is only rising as the sky empties above them. Its cold comfort that at least the Necropolis isn't going to flood because if it. Now all they need to do is get out before the angry flood grasps their legs and drags them snarl down the dark sewer tunnel.

One character can start climbing. Dex+Ath-1 to stay standing for the person staying.
