Evelynn had to smile at L'aire answer about volunteering at nursing homes. Kind, and sad.

"I-I like the idea of offering safe hiding and haven to others if they need it. It feels right, while the others push forward against the bad things, that they have the security of having somewhere to come home, if they need it." She nodded, resolutely. The conversation was making it clear - any uncertainty that might have remained about choosing the Winter court was falling away. "So, um, I don't... I don't really know what to do, now. Taking with you makes me sure this is what I want, but I don't know how to take the next step. Is there, um, a pledge, or like a test or something?"

“An alternative to other events is a good way to put it.” L’aire grinned understanding what she meant. “I am glad Winter called to you. I think you will fit in well. Quite often our numbers are low, I’m unsure if it’s not understanding our Season, or that everyone thinks we’re depressing.” Wrinkling her nose with a soft smile.

“Emotions distinguish us from Them. Not only sorrow, but all of them. As a Winter we have the IceLaw, one in particular is to hide your love and hate. It’s not that you can never love or never hate, but you must learn to hide it. There are more pieces to the IceLaw, but we will start there.”

“In order to set about the next step, let the Wyrd will find you and you will find it. Sorrow will call to you in some way when you least expect it. But, you have to set yourself out there, with people. Our connection with the mortals also saves us from becoming truly lost. Once you find that person or persons, it will begin to take shape or take form.”

Evelynn looked faintly uncertain and overwhelmed, but she was still smiling. "Oh... Okay. I think I understand. Or at least, I think it'll become clearer as I look." She blushed, relieved that she had a direction now, something to pursue. "Thank you for your help, L'aire."

Anything else that needs to be covered? Or should we wrap up?

The Dancer put her hand gently on the Wizend's arm. "I think you will begin to understand sooner than you think." Softly grinning and pulling back her hand again.

"But if you need anything, just let me know, I'll be glad to help you and guide you, Evelynn."
