(16 VE) Coronation Vernal Equinox

It was poor taste to show up to one's own court coronation late, but alas there was nothing to be done about it now. So, instead of dwelling upon it much further Coco strode into the garden in a green velvet suit with a large canvas bag hanging each shoulder. One held her cane, along with many lengths of PVC pipe, the other held curtains, and together they would form a wonderful little booth for her and the other Verdant Courtiers to inspire others from. Alas, there was no time to set it up, so instead she simply dropped the bags in a corner of the garden, gave a jaunty wave to Ava Campbell and Ramona Bohannon as she strode over to pick up her ring and then join her court inside the Rose Garden...

Keith seemed about to say something but then seemed to get distracted by something he heard. Daniel nodded a goodbye as the Elemental left to join another conversation.

And once again, he found himself blowing back into Sacramento with the first winds of spring. Maybe he was becoming as migratory as the avian reflected in his mein.

Or perhaps it as simply a coincidence. Either way, he supposed the why wasn’t as important as the where. Sacramento, the place that had become home to him over the years. I was a home he wandered away from at times, perhaps…but it was also one that he came back to. Both then, and now.

Though it was in a much greater state of upheaval now than it had been then, it seemed. Sovereigns…they came and went to an extent. He knew that as well as anyone. All four leaving t once though? That had never happened before, to his knowledge. And it had sent enough shockwaves rippling through the Freehold for him to hear of it even despite the short time he’d been back.

He pauses briefly at the door as he enters. His sharp gaze had swept through the place as always. And he certainly noticed the Sovereigns’ parting gifts. Though he made no move to take one for himself. Betony wouldn’t have known to leave him one, after all.

More important than those gifts, though, were the changelings that filled the place. Some were people he’d not seen before, new arrivals that had drifted in over the past few months. Some were familiar faces. And a few…were much more than that. Really, to those who knew him, where he went first wasn’t even slightly surprising.

The giant sandman step out from the Spring Court's private meeting and took a quick look around. There were a few new faces since he had arrived, but since they were practically all new faces to him it made little difference. He took a deep breath and straightened to his full height, an optimistic and cheerful look on his face as he spoke in a deep loud booming voice that lilted with his British accent.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. I am known as Artemis Wescott of the Spring Court, and I have the great honour of introducing to you our Vernal Sovereign. The Queen of the Spring Court, and of all of us, until the turning of the next season. Crowned by the Wyrd as our desires saw fit. The Emerald ruler of the Freehold of Sacramento. Her Majesty Lynn Mills." As he spoke her name his hand was placed on his chest as he stepped deftly to the side and he bowed and waited for her to make her entrance.
