EQ: Miach will carry what he can in his backpack: Flashlight, pepper spray, a bottle of water, some thread, his first aid kit or at least what fits in of it. He's also wearing his kevlar vest, if it's allowed.

Being the Curator of the local Mysterium meant to Miach that he had to embody his Order's precepts. Leading by example had always been the right way - he'd taken that from Menwel. And so when during a night out with Esmeralda he had felt something weird around the Tower Theater, the Acanthus knew he'd have to come back soon.

It turned out soon was now. He had parked a block from there, and had walked toward the theater, careful of his surroundings. There could be no real hope for stealth, not when you were investigating a beacon of light for miles around, and so the Acanthus was circling it like a tourist, for all to see if they cared about a lone man. He didn't really know what he was looking for or what to expect, so mostly, at that point, he was looking for a confirmation of his senses, and if he was lucky, perhaps a location.

Emrys is driving up in his GTO, is wearing his athletic shoes and reinforced clothing (Leather jacket), and has his laptop, handcuffs, and bowie knife in his backpack. He also has his smartphone in his pocket.

Emrys didn't really have any reason to check out local theaters. Having lived in one for almost a year he just rigged up the projector in the living room when he wanted to watch old movies. Now that he was out a cabal though? Now he liked them even less, and normally just looking at a theater instilled a sense of irritation.

Fortunately there was something here that Emrys liked enough to forget that nonsense, something that filled him with a childlike glee. The leather partially obscured it, but the Enchanter's t shirt gave it away. It was worn and starting to fray at the seems, but the Rebel Alliance insignia was still clear and emblazoned across his chest. Seeing the Force Awakens only twice didn't suffice apparently.

That's when the tingle started, and as he parked his car in the parking lot a bit of that joy diminished. He noticed Miach walking up to the theater and the distortion around him, but there was something else. Emrys grabbed his backpack hoping he wouldn't need it's contents but deciding to be prepared if he did.

"Hey!" He called out, trying to catch his constituent's attention as he closed the distance. "You feeling off as well?""

[Crowley]

Crowley had been in the grip of inspiration all day. The feeling had come early, snapping him awake in the darkness before dawn; it was a sensation he could not ignore and it demanded action. Wrapping himself in a thick layer of spells, he departed the sanctum. Shielded (he was still paranoid that the Banisher's were tracking the Temoins du Sud after their midnight escapade), and open to the Sight (and with a temporal sense more accurate than a watch), the Acanthus felt ready to craft melody and song.

He stayed out all day: driving from place to place as the mood took him. He played with a theme that had been nagging him since the year's birth on the shores of Lake Folsom; he tinkered with an annoying tune in Tiscornia Park; and made lyrics while catching an early evening snack, feeling mighty and satisfied.

He didn't notice the weird feeling, the presence of irregularity snarling up the direction of the flow. Not at first. He was too busy staring at the Tower Theatre as it began to glow against the darkening sky. The feeling of inspiration still gripped him, hanging out one more insight before the day was done and the musician struggled to weave that feeling into purposeful action. The growing sense of dissonance, of another beat pulsing in the background slowly but surely threw him off track.

Like an itch that needed scratching.

Sighing with irritation, Crowley dumped his bulging notebook. He clambered out of his van, locked it and stretched. At least the remains of his meal, all sauce and food debris and plastic packaging, gave him a good excuse to move around: he needed a bin.

He didn't expect to find other Awakened congregating near the anomaly, let alone that they were all Enchanters. That said something and Crowley could not help but guffaw at the congruence of fate. He tried to hide his cough behind a hastily raised hand, still casting about for a bin.

Faye had been out and about the whole day, just driving. She had in one of her mix cd’s and just went where the mood and music took her.

Soon she found herself at an old theater, the beautiful lights drawing her attention. But as she got closer, something else pinged. A shiver went down her spine as goosebumps raced up her arms. Finding a parking space, she turns the car off and slowly gets out. Blue eyes scanning the building before moving to the parking lot. She had on one of her leather coats over jeans and fitted t-shirt. Her hair was piled on her head in a messy bun.

And what would you know?! Familiar faces with bright shiny auras!

Pocketing her keys and grabbing her messenger bag, she walks over, raising a hand,

“Looks like this is where the party is.” Her smile was friendly. Motioning to the building with her head, “Boy, this place is like a beacon, just pulling you in.”

Merely strolling around was sometime all you needed to do to notice something. And not only fellow Enchanters galore, drawn like a moth to a flame because of that feeling of something... Miach gladly greeted them - there was strength in number - but he got lucky enough to notice more, too.

Emrys only blinked as Miach said hello and turned his attention away. He wasn't one to be ignored, but as Faye approached he simply diverted his attention. He did so again as he noticed Crowley and it dawned on him that the Enchanters of Sacramento were converging on the theater. For now he decided to chalk it up to Fate rather then the trap a part of him suspected it might be.

"Noticed that too?" He said before returning his attention to Faye. "It doesn't feel wrong like the radio did, just sort of off."

The Councilor's eyes darted about, looking for some thread he could grasp and start their investigation.

[Crowley]

"Umm... yeah..." Crowley responded slowly to Faye's observation.

He dithered, caught between trying to find a bin, greeting the others, and trying to focus on the anomaly that he felt as much as saw.

Eventually, he found a bin to do away with his waste. The distraction cost him his focus on the initial sweep.

"Hey..." he added as he joined the group. If it sounded a little anticlimactic and deflated, it is because it was.

Looking around, she realized that each here were Acanthus. Was Fate playing a game, or were they just the lucky ones?

When Emrys mentions it feeling off, she nods her head, "That's a good way to put it." her eyes also move around the parking lot before taking in the building once again. "Maybe we should take in a movie?" she says with a shrug.
