Don't Take Candy...

[Aeneas]

Moments stretched as Aeneas waited. Awareness grew increasingly sensitive: to the sound of his quiet breathing; to the cars driving past; to the subtle pop of transforming bone and the shriek of metal. The Irraka's eyes bounced all over the place.

Not quite what he expected but he saw his allies point. Still... three by a lone van could be seen as loitering. Together, they stood out from the background too much.

Eyes narrowing, head hunching into his shoulders, the Menina slipped behind the cover afforded by another dormant vehicle in the parking lot. The bird spirit could wait - and in any case Chris and Bridger were covering the van. That left the curious group of people Aeneas spied: suspicious people; people doing things. Could they be the owners of the van?

Only one way to find out.

The Irraka padded silently across to group, eyes and ears alert.

Bridger's increased strength puts a serious dent in the back of the door, but does not succesfully bust the door open. The loud bang as his fist impacts the door catches the attention of the three out back, who very deliberately turn their heads away returning to whatever they were doing.

Chris touches the handle, and the door handle falls apart in uselessness, as the door shudders. With a little jimmying, the pieces of the lock fall apart inside, and the door opens.

Aeneas sneaks away to the group of three, where his now closer view shoes money changing hands, and small bags filled passing back in exchange.

The Bird squacks indignantly as its perch is jostled. <<Stupid! Always Stupid! No wonder you guys lose all the time!>> It caws at the before hopping over to the other van, and glaring balefully at them.

Inside the van they find a host of monitoring equipment, though most of the lights are turned off at this point. All told there are close to 6 different machines, but identification will require a much closer examination.

Hidden Aeneas adjusts his posture slightly to give him a better view. The bags were key he thought. A drug deal! Thrill of excitement throbbing through him. Even if it was nothing to do with their twilit demimonde, it was still information he could feed to his pack Totem, Falcon-the-All-Seeing; the falcon spirit loved having secrets uncovered.

Aeneas is not spotted as he approaches, and sees bags of tannish-white powder in small bags. The business concluded, two remain, while the victim leaves back towards the van. He is doing an excellent job of ignoring the other two who are inspecting the machinery on the inside. His approach seems to be headed for a blue honda civic.

Chris stands there for a moment, stunned at what he had just accomplished. With just his mere touch he was able to make the locking mechanism fail seemingly out of magic, but even he knew better than that. It wasn't magic, this wasn't some fairy mumbo jumbo, he had caused an interruption in the spiritual energy resonating from the herd made device and in doing so caused a physical malfunction. A step forward in the realm of confidence to be sure. The door now open, he takes a closer look inside to examine the hardware that was stored within. At first glance he could understand why his packmate was at a loss, there was quite the assortment of severance equipment here. He lits one leg up into the fan and leans forward to try and get a look on the name brand, and perhaps a manufacturer that would give him a clue as to what these devices were specifically, or perhaps even where they were purchased. "Looks like surveillance stuff. But theres a lot of shit in here so it could be more than just that" he answers.

Trusting the others, Aeneas remained where he was, senses straining. Would the two who remained divulge their secrets with their business concluded and believing themselves to be alone?

I am very sorry about the delay, still getting over a bad cold and the hell that was december.

Bridger takes stock through the van, he sees a few tablets, and there, written in simple black ink on an innocuous piece of paper, is a set of first age glyph for <<Uratha Live Here>>.

Aeneas sneaks closer, and starts listening in on their conversation. Apparently they are waiting for one more mark to sell something to. The Lingo is a bit confusing for the Irraka.
