(Blue Octavo) Diner Dissemination

[Star]

Spend long enough in any city, and eventually you'll learn what's open twenty-four hours. Maybe it's the midnight munchies, or heading home from a booty call, or even trying to solve serial murder.

The diner that July is directed to is one such. Despite, or because of, the self-acclaimed coffee and oversized portions of standard fare, it was a thirty year old institution with large booths and even a back room where a modicum of privacy could be had.

A few eye rubs and rapid blinks gave indication to the late hour as Star slouched in, backpack and camera slung over shoulders.

[Arthur]

Sliding in next to Star, Arthur can't hold back the yawn. This is what vodka and redbull are for. Or maybe just redbull. Taking in the diner Arthur glances at his clothes before looking for a coffee mug. I need a darker vest.

"Is this normal working hours for you?" Arthur glances at the Guardian Theurgist then yawns again.

[Einstein]

Einstein, for her part, seems largely awake when she walks into the diner. Maybe she's just at the point, where you're still too busy to be tired, and she'll fall over as soon as she takes a minute to catch her breath. The Obrimos is still dressed in her outfit from the support group, bland colors and a hoodie.

She comes up behind the two already there. "Hey. Wanna grab a booth, or did you have something else in mind?"

[Crowley]

Crowley is not far behind, a faded and stained coat swirling around his legs as he passes briskly across the threshold, favouring his left leg. He looks more energised than in pain, however. His hair is damp and without his bandana it frames his face in off kilter brown and black.

"Hey. Hi." The Enchanter utters. "Who needs coffee? I'll buy if you guys want to grab a spot." He flashes a strained smile - strained from his stance and not the company. Eyes flash and wiggle, taking in the environment.

"Back there."

A too-angular chin with a bit of stubble jutted towards the back room.

"Oh, you know." Innocent bluish eyes blinked at Arthur. You know, as in, you know that's totally a Question Dodge. It's not personal. There's just not a Good Answer. Couple of years ago? There's an answer. But things change. Nobody's crawling into a shared bed reeking of club smoke, cheap alcohol, and grinding their teeth.

"Do you have chicken fried steak? Chicken fried steak. Ummm, white gravy. Corn and greens for the sides. No greens? Ummm. Okay. Uh, well. Fries, then. And a glass of milk."

Hey, not everyone drinks coffee at midnight. Wait for the waitress to leave...

"Hey, Arthur? Can you, like..." Fingers waggled at the wide space of the room's opening. Sonic Shower Curtain, yo.

"So. How was, ummm. Your meeting? We hit the scene, got some pics. Haven't looked." Long fingers produced the camera, setting it down on the table.

[Arthur]

Talk of the dark stuff perks up Arthur. "O yes to coffee. Might as well get that going." Sleep is for the Sleepers. Brown eyes blink back at Star.

"Yaaa I remember some nights like this. Normally sitting was a challenge." A hand rises and hides another yawn as Arthur's gaze follows Star's finger waggling. With a flick of his wrist Arthur bends sound to isolate the group of mages. His gaze shifts to Crowley's left leg and the man get's a raised eyebrow in question.

[Crowley]

Crowley eyeballs the Mighty as he looks at his leg. Turning with something between a smirk and a smile, Crowley gathers the coffee and a sandwich for himself; it helps blend in - and he is feeling peckish.

"Good for you. The meeting was... The meeting was I'm not sure." Crowley added upon his return, tenaciously clinging to a tray laden with coffee and sandwich. He paused, sucking in a breath, while he doled out the steaming beverages. "We went in under cover, right - no glowing aura and shit - trusting our special aptitudes to pick up any weird vibes..." He made a face. "No vibes. Nada. Just a bunch of junkies and a rather charismatic leader." He slipped gently into a seat. "However, I will say this..." He leaned forward, eyes narrowing. "...Jason - that was the dude's name - had a profile very similar to the murderer I spied through the time stream. So did two other guys in the group. But no magic. That... Or they have that trick of cloaking the weave." He made another face.

[Einstein]

Einstein stays quiet til they reached the back room, not putting in any order. She drops into a seat at the table, and nods along with Crowley. "I checked Jason, and the lady at the door, neither of them was supernatural. They might have had themselves cloaked, but that seems unlikely." She shrugs, and pushes the seat onto its back two legs. "Couldn't get any read on the people. Can you track the two you identified might be candidates?"

Then, her hand waves at the camera. "Let's see the pictures, then."
