1510 Formal Court

[Ashley Cohen]

The tiny Lord slid the gloves from her hands, while she surveys the gathered. As her eyes fell upon those, who deserved her respect, she pays in full with a curtsy. Ashley cannot help but notice that her Pricus is buzzing around the Prince and before she can think anything of it, Martha's chipper greeting shatters her focus.

"Good evening Seneschal. You look well." Ashley offers in return with a curtsy, not knowing how the power structure has changed in her absence. Her head lolls to the side as her eyes snap to the newcomer, Diana .

[Martha Villiers]

As Diana approaches Martha, still gripping her cane tight and feeling the stab of pain in her leg, began to feel guilty about imagining Diana's kneecaps in her mouth. Blinking, she offered a happy, sincere if bashful, smile to her friend;

"G...good evening, Miss Barnes! You do look good enough to eat! Such a lovely gown..." she offered in some horribly Freudian motif, her Undead heart almost beating at the idea that Diana had sought her out to spend time with, "Simply delightful! Oh...thank you..." she looked to where Diana's knees are concealed by layers of gown, then wistfully met Diana's eyes, "Oh, Miss!" she coo-ed gently, nodding meekly.

Her cane was raised to gesture towards Twist to prompt explanation at the identity of Her Grace when Martha's attention now had to be split between Ashley and Diana;

"G... good evening, Miss Cohen! A delight to see you! We last met the evening of poacher hunting, I believe!" she giggled, turning to confined to Diana in a playful and theatrical soto voce for Ashley's benefit, explain to Diana, "Miss Ashley Cohen, of The Movement, has a most exciting insight into the power of selecting just to most proper miniskirt for an evening out!" she smiles, clearly delighted at helping praise Ashley and usefully pass on information to Diana too, adding;

"Ah, it's Mistress Keeper now, Miss Cohen. Miss Katya Harding is not only quite a star amongst the Circle of the Crone, but she's also the newly appointed Seneschal! Miss Harding makes a fine and most impressive Seneschal! I feel much better to be under her positive and nurturing instruction than under my own pitiful cognizance in that role!" she smiles sweetly and uses her cane to gently and respectfully gesture towards Katya for Ashley's benefit.

"Her Grace the Duchess, the Royal Archon and theatrical impresario, Miss Twist is here tonight too!" she nods, again, carefully using her cane to identify Twist for the benefit of Diana whom Martha was now privately imagining wearing miniskirts...

[Konrad Roth]

His ears pick up on a distinct word floating on the top of a conversation between a Priestess, Prince, and Seneschal. Monomacy. His attention tunes in towards them, straining to hear the context of that particular subject.

"Great, I'll get in touch with you soon," says Konrad to David distractedly, his hand pulling out a business card to offer to the Mekhet. "In case you don't already have my digits."

"Good evening, Garrick, wasn't it?" he says in brief pleasantry to the Haunt with the disturbing eyes.

Vivian's reply earns a grunt of acknowledgement from Konrad. It isn't anything he doesn't already know. But there's dressing up and then there's red carpet. But with an eternity on their hands it must get dull wearing the same sort of boring attire Court after Court. Speaking of fashion...

Konrad's eyes spy a familiar fashionista enter. He recognizes the rival in her Beast and his memory calls forth its supple form between the sheets at the Sterling Hotel one fateful night. It brings with it mixed feelings of rage and desire. Well I'll be damned.

Court is in full swing. Already there's talk of killing one another and an old ally decides to make her appearance. It had to be serious if Monomacy is being discussed in the Prince's presence. But then he wants to find out where Ashley's been hiding for the past year. Ah well, all in due time. He doesn't want to come off as a stalker.

Instead, Konrad excuses himself from present company and navigates towards his good buddy, Marco Fernandez . "Evenin', chum." A friendly moniker or a comparison to bait for sharks? He lowers his voice as he adds, "They're talking about you, ya know."

[Twist]

Pausing in her slow wanderings, Twist turned back at Martha's (@Chrisie) greeting and subsequent voicing of her titles and name. There was no call to not be polite after all. And with company as the Keeper was currently keeping, there were other desires reasons not to move past so quickly.

Approaching, Twist beams at Martha, "A good evening to you as well. I do hope I am not interrupting, I couldn't help but overhear my name mentioned..."

Turning her attention to the other two she let her voice trail off, allowing them the chance to refuse her presence if for some reason they felt the need to do such.

She did not however, stop herself from appreciating the closer look granted as she waited. The pastel concoction on Diana Barnes held about as much appeal as Martha's attire. But it did not necessarily diminish the figure beneath the fabric. And the very stance of Ashley Cohen was one that would likely make even a potato sack look runway appropriate.

If he hadn't been currently withholding himself from meaningful conversation he might not have picked up on the word that by mere utterance triggered small mutations in the Danse. He didn't know as to what context, or more importantly who it had been to drop that bomb, what he did know though was that someone in the Prince's circle had raised the topic.

He makes an effort to keep his face and hide his intentions all the while positioning himself through the room to possibly pick up on something further. If there was going to be ash laid down tonight, he'd rather not be left out of the loop, for all he knew everyone already knew and he was the only one left wondering. It was just as likely that there was nothing going on at all, still the one that is most observant of their surroundings is typically the one that survives the longest night.

When Twist comes into view to greet with Martha, Richard bows his head in respect, "Your Grace"

[Phoenix]

Gabrielle decided to stay back a little, considering that everyone else already seemed engaged in discussion with other prominent members of city. She didn't feel like interrupting, at least not at the moment. She observed the other kindred waiting for an opportunity to jump in a conversation. That's when she noticed Josephine, Katya and the prince himself having what seemed to be an important topic of conversation. She took her distance so as not to eavesdrop on them but as she was doing so she couldn't help but hear the word Monomacy.

Good god, what is happening here she thought?

She suddenly felt very scared, a sensation of dread paralyzing her. That's when she noticed Konrad going toward Marco ...

[Martha Villiers]

Martha smiles and as Twist approaches, her eyes widen. Clearly delighted and stunned at Twist's interest in their conversation. All smiles, petite Martha dips another respectful curtsey to the Duchess and explains;

"Good evening, Your Grace! Indeed! Forgive me, ma'am, you find me greeting Miss Ashley Cohen..." she makes a small hand gesture to identify the elegant and glamorous lady, hooking her cane over her arm, tiny Martha then makes a small gesture to identify Diana, "...and identifying you to Miss Diana Barnes, who is both the Myrmidon of the Carthian Movement and a play write, recently arrived here from New York! You find Myrmidon Barnes at her first formal Court and Miss Cohen making a very welcome return, ma'am!" she smiles sweetly and respectfully and, having made her explanation and exposition, makes every possible effort to avoid looking at Twist's shoes and legs...the eyes... Martha blushes.

Shivering as pain stabs up through her thigh stump, Martha grips at her cane, falls silent and waits to see where the conversation goes next...
