Tonight was not going to be a good night, he could just feel it. First he had to deal with Josephine's accusations last month, then his poorly worded statements against Katya had caused a downward spiral of hate and denouncements. What frustrated him was that he actually had a good opinion so far of the Seneschal, but even the best intentions can result in alternative expression. You can mean to say one thing but what comes out, and how things are taken is what matters in this world. Perceptions were reality.
An uneasiness ran through him that he doubted would leave him for some time, though with such powerful enemies he doubted he'd have many more nights to dwell on the uncomfortable sensation. He wore his black suit and white shirt with a black tie, anything to appear subdued and nonthreatening, though his beast would certainly threathen those around him whether he wanted it to or not.
As he descended the steps into Elysium his anxiety and unease only increased. All who stood before him caused his dark passenger to beg for violence, all save for Priscus Cordoba who's beast struck fear in his own, a fear he already felt within him. That didn't mean much though since several emitted no beast at all, and so their power was concealed from him. But while his beast thrashed against its cage, the social anxiety he was feeling as he stepped down into the room kept it locked away. Even if he wanted to give in to his urges he would not. He was already in too much hot water as it was and all he felt he wanted was to follow the response to Juan's beast and flee but his legs wouldn't comply. He had already come too far, committed to appearing here tonight.
That unease hit a boiling point though when he noticed Josephine, Asa, and Katya all talking. He wasn't exactly sure why but he knew whatever the reason it wasn't good. He had wanted to come in and beg for mercy but now was not the time. For all he knew his apology would be too late. All he could do was stand by and wait and watch, and if the time presented itself he would approach to attempt to make amends. He couldn't rely on anyone else to do it for him, his call to Juan had shown him that.
