(1509) Sanctuary

[Emrys]

The Libertine Lorehouse had been a work in progress for some time. Some might say to long, others might say not long enough, but either way it was where the next Eternal Concilium was held.

A table of food and drinks was laid out for the Concilium in what for all intents and purposes looked like an empty warehouse. It wasn't glamorous, but it's what Emrys and his fellow Libertines had put together. The Syndic himself had found a seat with a full plate of sweets and sandwiches with a bottle of water. If he had to pay he was gonna enjoy the buffet, or at least as much as he could before Einstein stormed in for holding Concilium at the Lorehouse.

It was gonna be an interesting night, at least for him.

Strange as it may seem for the experienced Acanthus, he had never come to the Lorehouse before. As it was, neither the Curator he had become, nor the Sigilholder of Fateful Watch could pass upon an Eternal Consilium, and he arrived to the Lorehouse arrayed for the night. Dark suit, white shirt. Timeless good taste.

The warehouse felt strange at first. Perhaps because he had come expecting computers, and tech everywhere ? Anyway, he was here as much for the people as for the scenery, so he quickly hide his disappointment. The Veiled Threats were in number, even if attendance was still low. Not much Miach could do but go and talk to them. With a longing glance toward the buffet, he joined Emrys and Ermac.

"Good evening gentlemen. I can see there's plenty of room here." he started with, noncommitally.

[Avis]

Avis strolled into the Free Council's warehouse, trying out a new look. Which, some could definitely mistake for an act of vanity. Really, it wasn't. It was because this was a safe space to try it out. An experiment, of sort, to see how people reacted. To see how well she blended. 'Cause the last thing she wanted was to try something like this on Banishers without testing it first. She might be an Arrow, sure, but unlike Asp she couldn't just march up to someone and hug them to death. No, the element of surprise was definitely something she paid more attention to. Camouflage, after all, was a tool every military used.

"EMRYS."

The name rolled through the room like thunder. The origin wasn't hard to pinpoint. The woman came in just a few minutes after Avis, but she certainly decided to make an entrance. The second she stepped through the door, the light in the room shifted subtly, just for a moment, bathing the woman in a bright glow, easily outlining the anger on her face.

The woman, dressed in her Gandalf the Grey costume - she'd thought it would be more impressive - had subtly twisted the sound coming from the area directly around her, to amplify it by quite a bit. Add to that the fact she had already raised her voice, and she was fairly easily noticeable. Einstein was completely concentrated on Emrys, not an ounce of focus put anywhere else, even with the multiple other people in the room she might want to yell at.


"Outside. Now."

Maybe if the conversation went well, she'd yell at them too.

Emrys smiled and waved at everyone he knew as people began filing into the lorehouse. It had been months since they found the place, and months it had been nearly empty. To see it actually put to use for once beyond the hypothetical kept his spirits high.

"No problem Ermac." He said as he finished off a sandwich. It seemed he was either pretty hungry or just trying to eat what he could before the inevitable.

And inevitable it was. He jumped in his seat from the sheer undeniable volume his name was called out in. Sure, he expected her to lash out, but seriously? Theurgists.

The Enchanter popped up from his seat and scanned the crowd. "Welcome to the Lorehouse everyone! Grab a bite, talk to people, and let it be known that I was last seen exiting the Lorehouse with Gandolf the Grey!" He picked a hoagie off his plate and smirked at Einstein as he headed over. An offhand comment about how she had even heard about the get together over in middle-earth danced on his mind, but he decided he liked his face without the C-Fire scars so it remained unspoken.
